The others watch as both Stripes and Tally swing at their attackers, but the creatures appear to be just too nimble for the hunterhearts to cause any damage.

The mountain stamps his foot, digging his boot into the Earth and drawing upon his unity with it. Apart from kicking up a clod of earth, nothing much happened. At any other time, the action would have been anticlimactic and comedic; it was lost in the developing swirl of conflict.
Nevertheless, Green felt the earth fortifying him.

Al-Adin gets up in the masked Hob's face.
"Pick on someone your own size." He quips, before chucking a small black rod that seems to materialize in his hand. The rod nails the masked hob right between the eyes of the mask.

The elemental feels a bit sturdier and more grounded than he had a moment before. Earth honors the Contract with the man who was formerly a mountain and lends strength to the earthbones. Meanwhile, the force of Al's thrown weapon causes the hob to stagger backward a few steps as the woven mask shatters and falls to the ground, now no more than a bunch of broken sticks. It's face is now revealed, and the changelings can understand why it had been covered. It looks as if its grotesque face had been thrown together with pieces of flesh-colored candle wax and bubblegum... and then left out in the sun too long. As it glares at Al, he might notice that the creature doesn't appear to have been injured as severely as he might have expected from his attack. Sharpened bone claws extend from the hob's fingers as it takes a swing at the fastest thief in the freehold, but only manages to elicit a few childish giggles from the Spring courtier's mantle.

The thing with desire is that when it is taken to the extreme things get done.
In this case, Nova’s desire was to get the fuck away!
She saw the biting and the whirling of the creatures. and that was a just a turn tail and book it. She still had the scissors within her chest, if she could just reach in and pull them out -- along with everything else she had been trying to fight for the past few years.
No this was a running point.
She turned and ran.
As the fighting begins, Vincent tries his best to keep himself in front of both Tally and Nova. As a response to the hob's attacks, Vincentpulls out his pistol andcalls for the spirit of fire to enact their contract. He can almost hear the words "It's about time..." in a sizzle and a pop before his obsidian mein begins to radiate heat.

As he notices Nova starting to run, Vincent looks over at Tally desperately. How could he protect them both if they refused to stick together? In a snap decision, Azlan realizes that Tally has more friends here than Nova might have wherever she's going.
He begins to wave franticly, hoping to get Stripes' attention. If Stripes looks over, Vincent will point at the Hunterheart, then his eyes, then to Tally. He will then quicklyuse his gun topoint from himself to the now fleeing Nova, nodding.
The elemental clenches his teeth, hoping his meaning would be understood as he prepares to pursue his new friend.

Fire is capricious. Perhaps Vincent had not put enough oomph into his demand for assistance, or perhaps Fire questioned the wisdom of such an indiscreet display of its power. Regardless, it does not live up to its end of the elemental contract and the summer courtier still feels as vulnerable as he did a moment before. However, his attention is caught by the fleeing form of Nova and he quickly follows the manikin after hurriedly gesturing to Stripes. She has about a thirty foot lead on him as she nears the well-lit area around the monument, which is about sixty feet from the rest of the group. She can see the other hobs more clearly as they plod toward the entrance of the trod, their backs bent beneath the weight of the lumpy sacks they carry over their shoulders. Beneath the bright lights, she can see that whatever is in the sacks is moving. Meanwhile, Sir Feldspar and Susan take flight and circle two of the vileshrikes heads, flapping their wings and screaming in an attempt to distract the creatures. However, the third vileshrike sudenly darts forward and briefly searches the former contents of Tally's backpack. Finding the torn page of the unmasked hob's master, it snatches it with its beak and starts toward the monument, loping past Vincent and surpassing him by about twelve feet.
Changing tactics, the first shrike attempts to sink its claws into Stripes' pelt, but the beast's agility and the distraction of the goyles' antics cause it to completely miss its prey. Likewise, Tally nimbly sidesteps her attacker's clumsy attempt to launch itself at her and pin her to the ground. Unfortunately, seeing its goal in sight, the third shrike passes Nova as it runs toward the hobs near the monument.Once there, it whines at one of the masked hobs and paws at the open archway like a dog that needs to be let out to do its business.

Stripes dodges the attack, but even with his leg injured and his vision clouded by battle he doesn't miss the third Shrike.
"NO!" he shouts. "Tally, the page! Gotta stop him!"
Vincent motioned for him to protect Tally, but the page was also important... and the pain in his leg makes it harder to concentrate...
One disaster at a time, and Tally isn't injured right now. Stripes takes off after the fleeing Vileshrike hoping Tally follows to help him. They need to stop that thing before it gets away!
Stripes will use his turn to run after the Vileshrike, and I'd also like to try to grapple it if I can?
