West nodded as his name was called.

He'd accept the nomination, but he didn't particularly want it. Not that he thought he was above it, or didn't want to help, there were just... drawbacks. He believed --especially for Arrows-- that time in the field was critical. Power also invited power. As a tactician, turning over one's best cards was never a smart play.

He moved away from Halo, and nodded towards Dash and Uncarved.

"I'll second those."

He didn't know either, other than they had a desire.

Flushing hounds never hurt.

Vaeltia heard the second voice, and then West’s.

Well that ended that thought didn’t it?

She thought to herself as she smiled at the others at the Buffet. Four Arrows and one...Ladder? he had said ‘awakened nation’. She had met the man before, hadn’t she? It was the trouble with those people that were overly forgettable, kind of like Kite, when he wasn’t putting himself directly in the way of the shit fan.

Huh... Orpheus thought to himself. Seems like we've got plenty of volunteers for Sentinel. He takes a quick glance at the self-nominations for the position.

Idly deciding he could use more to eat, the Obrimos grabs the plate he had used before and returns to the buffet line, Nodding to Azure and Ermon .

Leo looked around after the Heirarch called his name as a Sentinel nominee, smiling to the crowd. West's nomination didn't bother him. He all but dismissed the idea at dinner. Vae and Animus were his suggestions, so they didn't bother him either. Then the two unknowns volunteered, and Leo raised an eyebrow, pondering how best to deal with his competition.

But then West stepped forward, not only accepting his own nomination, but vouching for the two new guys! Leo gnashed his teeth as he watched his near guaranteed victory drift away.

There was still hope though. Earlier Toren said they would be using the podium to discuss Path and Order counselors, and it would stand to reason they would do the same for the Sentinels. Now Leo just needed to become an excellent public speaker in the next few minutes.

'This is gonna suck.'

After a few seconds the young Arrow pulls himself out of his head and smiles once more. He looks to the two self nominees with some curiosity. Who were they? Why did they volunteer?

"Are the two self nominees Arrows?" The Theurgist whispers to Vae.

As the silence continued, broken by a few remarks and whispers, West moved back.

He was tempted to look behind him -- to see if there was a wall he could blend into like Tobias Funke. Camouflaged, hopefully there would be a limited number of Sentinels needed, and his own candidacy would be overlooked.

Just outright beginning to vote for everyone else seemed a bit too obvious.

First Dash gave the bald guy a once over when the man spoke up.

Then he looked over in West's direction as he seconded the Dancer's self-nomination. He shrugged, I'll take it. He then turned his attention towards the man he'd walked up to and the guy that just started talking to him. He frowned, his hand twitched ever so slightly, he resisted the urge to just punch the Moros. There was something about the way the guy was looking at him that he didn't like at all.
