(1304) Daeva : Box Seats for Family

An invitation goes out to all Daeva of note in the City inviting them to a free show at the Ballo Della Notte, box C. At the end of the invitation is a small typed note:

I believe it is time for a family reunion. I look forward to seeing you at the end of the show.

Ballo Della Notte

For those that choose to attend the Daeva meeting, after arriving at the theater they are escorted by Kalos to the box seat where a grouping of chairs is arranged for viewing the show. While Kalos does not stay, there is an usher who steps forward from the corner to offer refreshments for any who need it. Already his long sleeves have been carefully rolled up to nearly his shoulder. Looking behind him, one can see a small end table stacked with glasses, a sharp looking knife and a small pile of hand towels. For those who didn't wish to sup directly from the usher of course.

The lights fall, and the show will begin. At intermission, the usher is replaced by another, this time a female, and she offers the same.

When the curtain falls the last time, the usher quietly and efficiently gathers any used items and leaves the box. When she steps outside, she very firmly pulls the box door closed. Leaving the group to intermingle while the Kine filter out from the theater below them.

The Shark arrives in a timely fashion. He does love taking in a show, and his previous experience at the Bello Della Notte had been an outstanding one. Dressed in a black tuxedo, with a red bow tie and gold pocket square. He wears a boutonniere of bamboo blossoms surrounding a small white ditany of crete arrangement. He takes his seat he is escorted to, and speaks to no one during the show waving away the first usher. At intermission when the ushers change he merely motions to the glasses and waits to be brought his beverage.

After enjoying the show he stands and smiles at his family members as he waits for the Priscus to meet them.

"Evening cousins."

Daymian of course was shocked to see the invitation but was only to happy to accept. It would be good to see how everyone he had already met were doing and if there were any new faces he would have missed. He looked up the normal dress for the shows and instead of a tux which he found rather restricting and uncomfortable he went and picked out a suit and had it tailored. It was a magnificent dark green with a matching vest underneath in case the meeting became more lax which he doubted. The vest had a small celtic pattern and his shirt was a very dark blue that matched well with the green. He wore no tie, his shoes went with the suit and his hair as always was styled in the latest fashion.

He watched the kine around him as he was escorted to the private balcony and upon seeing that Erich was already there gave him a warm, friendly smile and nod but kept silent as he took one of the chairs to the side rather than up front. There would be people of higher social standing than him that may wish to be forward and center. He politely waves off the usher who offers him some refreshment then continues his people watching greeting any other family who arrives and takes their seats as he had Erich with the exceptions of any ladies who show. He would then stand politely until they had found their seats then seat himself again. Once the show begins he watches in rapture enjoying the passions portrayed.

At the intermission he again politely refuses the refreshment offered and listens to the others speak in idleness until the show resumes. As the show comes to a close he gives appropriate applause enthusiastically. As their privacy is further enhanced he simply turns himself in his chair to listen as others speak.

Having been brought up by diplomats Callum McCann had never felt out of place wearing a well-tailored suit, and tonight was no exception. Occasionally he found himself a bit perplexed by the play, but one couldn't always expect to always find these things entertaining. Still it was enjoyable for the most part, and the opportunity to be surrounded by family was a welcome one.

Upon arriving he greeted Twist with a graceful bow, and his other family with a friendly nod. He was glad to see that Daymian McMahon had been invited and was behaving appropriately. The notion that one lesson should be enough certainly seemed to be holding true with him. Erich Passions had proven himself to be a hard worker in the class he had organised, so he was looking forward to speaking with him further. Of course the real treat of the night was spending time with their Priscus, and Cal wondered whether she had a specific purpose in mind for the meeting, or if she was just checking up on them all. Probably a touch of both.

And in time Velma arrived… fashionably late and fashionably attired, the songstress had picked up a classic dress for tonight, black stilettos to match the black undulating skirt that moved with a life of its own accord. Those more acquainted with her would probably noticed she had changed the color of her berry colored hair to a beautiful platinum blond, her natural hair color.

Step after step with the weightless grace of a swan Velma moved to one of the places while shooting a few friendly glances to all those she had previously met. After her beast had decided to make peace with the others and give them enough quarter, she saw Callum McCann and Erich Passions and even to those she hadn’t yet met but would surely meet today Daymian McMahon she smiled.

Very lady like Velma kept applauding when everyone seemed to be applauding, not too effusively of course. She seemed to be happy and content to have watched the show, but the reason for her visit to the theatre was yet to arrive.The Succubus had spent a brief moment in the company of her eldest, maybe tonight she would learn something more about that mysterious and revered personage.

Erich smiled at his family, though his beast was an annoying nuisance, calling for the heads of some and seeking refuge from others.

"That was a wonderful show wasn't it? I can think of no better way to spend an evening, than with family and entertainment of such high quality." He smiles and winks at Velma Star .

"Miss Star, it's been far too long. I was afraid I'd scared you off with my devilish charm after our evening together." He offers her a coy smile to go with the wink he'd just sent her way. "I must say, you look simply ravishing this evening."

Velma grins as she hears Erich throwing compliments away. Unlike him Velma sold her praise quite expensively, but that didn’t meant she didn’t appreciate those who mixed courtesy with compliments.

“Mr. Passions.” the succubus answers, her grin not diminishing an inch.

Without asking for permission the songstress gracefully carries her sinful shape from her place to a sit by Erich’s side, making no compunctions about taking it for herself she sits and keeps her legs elegantly crossed one over the other. She reclines herself gently as she speaks and her appraising eyes skim over her fellow incubi.

“Well, you should know by now that I’m quite difficult to scare Mr. Passions… and I’m glad you enjoy it… my dress!”

The Shark smiled at Velma. His beast rebelled against her presence, but Erich quickly quieted it.

"Miss Star I definetly am enjoying many things this evening." He returns to a sitting position, turning his attention to the temptress seated next to him.

"I'm glad to see your return from your sabatical... I do hope that the two of us can get another drink together soon.

"Miss Velma Star." Callum smiled pleasantly at the beautiful songstress ( Velma Star ) when she entered the private box in which they were all gathered. He was used to the presence of her beast, so his own was mostly able to be contained with its mixture of enthusiasm and fear. "You never call!" He grinned with obvious humour, though underneath it was a subtle curiosity at where she had been for the last few weeks.

He couldn't help but shake his head at Erich Passions ' comments. "Hey now Mr Passions, don't forget you promised me a dinner." The big martial artist raised an eyebrow before laughing pleasantly. "Family huh?" He looked at Velma and then back at Daymian McMahon . From what he remembered of the night, Velma had missed Daymian's mistake a few months before so maybe they hadn't met. "Have you met Mr McMahon yet?"

Erich sighs and rolls his eyes at the mention of Damian's name. He'd been doing so well at ignoring the pathetic man so far.
