Dillon suppresses a slightly perturbed twist of his mouth in response to the Priest apparently ending his conversation with the others.
He can't be sure if it is the demeanor of the Priest himself, or if they were all simply looking for an excuse to get away from the Reeve. As though any moment, he might decide one of them would make a fine meal, and begin twisting them into edible chunks.
Utterly ridiculous.
Only Dillon's Beast entertains such wicked thoughts. The furious hellhound is quite pleased at the prospect of having one set of hungry teeth for Daniella, Aοleen, and Chase each. The Man of God could wait his turn; ruining that which is beautiful takes precedence.
It has nothing to do with having another creature to respond to, as the murderous thing can sense none from the Mekhet women. But merely: masturbatory contemplations of violence. Hateful fantasy which the Reeve promptly ignores.
Mentally scolding the creature, he reminds it that he actually likes Aοleen and Daniella.
There is still a twist of his mouth, along with a bounce of eyebrows and a blink, as Dillon abandons all hope at a normal conversation this evening. Turning to size up the other man, there is a hint of recognition in his hazel eyes.
"Aha," the last Safari sprang to mind. So the Priest outfit is no costume at all. That would make him-- "Father Thomas, is it?"
The words come without hesitation, but if there had been any more of them Dillon might have sounded distracted. For whatever reason, looking at John Thomas conjures images of the men and women Dillon has killed. From drying corpses under the night sky in the Arizona badlands, to a fifteen year-old pre-Embraced boy mutilating the men who raped his mother to death, to an uncountable number of disobedient ghouls drowned in Lake Michigan.
They are a small percentage of the total body count scattered behind Dillon Connery. But they represent a few of the ones he has come to regret.
"If this is related to the Spear, it might be better if we reconvene to my office at a later date. The night wastes away."
