Ashley strolls into a conveniently located Starbuck's after having worked up a thirst driving around town. Or rather, convincing herself she'd worked up a thirst and wasn't just addicted to caffeine.

Her pretty yellow '68 Charger visible outside the front windows, she shows a fair degree of confidence that she looked awesome in her tank top and jeans as she struts up to the counter and orders a large Mocha Milkshake thing. They can call it whatever, but it's still just a big milkshake with caffeine. Gimme gimme gimme. She'd avoided this place in SF and Irvine, but it was hard to argue with the deliciousness of sugar. And this was about new beginnings. Delicious beginnings.

Gathering up the stupidly large frozen beverage after it is served under a fist full of whipped cream, she has a seat by the window with the best view of her car and the passers by on the street.

While not exactly his first choice for coffee, Starbucks were a dime a dozen in cities like Sacramento, which meant they were usually uncrowded enough to be a somewhat viable place to go. Walking through the doors with his trusty binder, Orpheus couldn't help but bite his cheek as he entered. All this information... He thought as his two sensory spells fed data to him. He glances about the coffee shop as he walked to the counter, noticing the petite woman who had spells active. "I'll have a Clover please." He orders politely.

The curious looking man was continuing to pound the streets of the city, trusting that the physical exercise would etch a map of the city, its layers and meanings upon his mind. On this day he was waring black shoes, blue slacks and a white shirt, with his threadbare coat swirling slightly about him. Famished from his activity, he ducked into the Starbucks to sate his hunger and continue his exploration of coffee.

Azure eyes the newcomer glowing with mystical activity, but tries to appear as though she's just watching the wall past him. There was interesting art on that wall, as far as coffee chain art goes, and she could clearly have just been doing that. But her face tightens with cynical eyebrows as he orders a coffee not laden with fat and sugar. This is not a place for actual coffee; remain skeptical of that one.

Her mental action item list updated, her eyes next perceive a bald man dressed like he was walking the earth on a spirit quest. Wow. Probably got some muscle on him. I bet he knows kung fu. Or like, a crazier, rare analogue of it. Secret Mountain Flensing Badger Strike! Hwaaaaa...

And she took another big gulp of her 'coffee.'

Unless I missed something in the casting rolls, Orpheus used a conjunctional prime 2 to cloak his spells from other mages, and transform aura is cloaked by definition. You could use scrutiny to try and break through the cloaking, if you want

After taking his non- sugar and fat laden coffee from the barista, Orpheus takes an empty seat a booth across from where Azure was seated. Taking a notepad out and scribbling a few numbers down. How to approach this one... He thinks just as Uncarved enters. And enter another person I haven't met... Although Orpheus had briefly seen the man at the last consilium gathering.

Azure continues to idly people watch as she fills up on calories and caffeine. Mmmmm.

Quite the eccentric crowd today, she muses to herself, keeping quietly to herself.

[Cryotic]

After seemingly finishing whatever he was jotting down, Orpheus gives an audible sigh as he puts the notepad down and back into his bag. Here's to not making a complete ass of myself." He thinks, taking a large sip of coffee.

Like he wasn't about to already.

Once he places the coffee down he finally speaks, "Been in Sacramento long?" The question is directed towards Azure, indicated only by his glancing in her direction.

"Not at all, actually," she offers candidly, meeting the strangers eyes. "You?"

[Cryotic]

"About six months, I think." Orpheus continues, since it seemed like the other mage in the room wasn't doing anything immediately. "I only ask out of curiosity of course, usually you don't see people just mulling about in a coffee shop not doing anything."

[Uncarved]

Uncarved received his beverage with a nod of thanks. Money clinked as it changed hands and the bald man turned from the counter. His walk could wait, he decided, until he had drank his coffee. He remembered fondly his interactions at the last Starbucks he had wandered into, so he attempted something similar.

"May I join you?" he asked as he drew near the table by the window. "Coffee is better when shared and not when one sits alone." He inclined his head to the two seat persons respectfully.
