Practicing the art of Oneiroscopy could go in many different directions. Yata was only one example, there were others of course.
“Certainly my lady.” Nodding revered to his Queen. His eyes passed to Rook and Spartan with easy approach. The Notary was always willing to help if he could do so.
“How may I assist you all?” Palming his hand pleasantly to the trio in the office. The Chatelaine needed a few more details before he could begin to convey any information.
Rook paused slightly, trying to frame the words in a way that would express the enormity of the situation, the danger they might all be in, and the risk of what they were asking the Autumn Chatelaine to risk. His shuttered irises briefly flickered towards the door, making sure they were secure - even though he knew Mr. Bates would never say 'my Lady' in front of ordinary human beings.
"Fairweather's weakness is hidden in his dreams,"the Red Victor said quietly. "A mentor of Hana and Yata was killed for what he uncovered there, before he could communicate it. We must risk following this route if we are going to rid the Freehold of this enemy."
His voice was grave, and steel hard with resolve.
Terri nodded along with what Rook said, the gravity of the situation inflecting from his voice. She looked from Rook to Mr. Bates. "Yeah, we may need to go back, Mr. Bates, but this time not as a rescue mission."
"Also, are you aware of any within the hold who are talented in the ways of Dream Traversal and combat?" Spartan asked the Chatelaine.
Looking to the Soveriegn of Summer, the Chatelaine shook his head. “Other than myself, King Spartan, no I do not.”
For several moments, Mr. Bates contemplated the situation. Rather than beating around the bush, he thought it best to level with them. “I will be honest with you all. Oneiroscopy can be very dangerous.” Placing his hand to his chin, then to Rook he addressed the previous state of Dreams. “With Yata, we were there with her and near her, which was one of the keys for the use of Oneiroscopy, safely.”
The Drudge opened his hands to the trio, trying to gauge their thoughts of the Baron, he continued. “If you have reason to believe that Baron Fairweather is dangerous, then that is why the use of Oneiroscopy can be a grave situation in regards to the Baron.” He was stating facts as it stood at least to him currently.
“We would be trespassing into dreams we do not have permission to enter, mainly hisdreams. The Wyrd will take it’s toll. It is more of a risk than can imagine. We will not be able to awake of our own will because it is hisdream.” His gnomish hand lifted into the air as he made this crucial point.
The next words he chose carefully, but honestly. Looking to Terri for a long moment. He was always up front with his Queen and would continue even if his next point was unsavory. “It is not just a general risk of our own lives, it’s likely none of us will return. If we were to risk ourselves trying to cleave information for Freehold in this manner, we would most likely not come back. Would we not put the Freehold at more risk when our most powerful residence would no longer be around to protect it?” The questions needed to be asked, as much as he cared for the Freehold in and of itself, so did he the three in his office.
