Vaeltia was traveling the area of sacramento known as Arden Arcade. She liked this particular area, and it wasn’t just because she had grown up in the city. It wasn’t because she lived in this particular subsection of the city either -- although that did have something to do with it.

It was territory the Archangels had claimed, it was where she was assigned in the force, and it was where she genuinely felt where she belonged. Unless you count the ranch six miles outside of town where she spent a good deal of her time.

Instead she was walking around, her gun at her belt, and her badge around her neck -- casual but still mentally on duty, a second circut for the day, this time eyes peeled especially for supernal touches.

At Eastern and Arden a small crowd had gathered in front of Starbucks. No one really stayed around, but several passer-byes would stop and check out show. From Starbucks, outdoor speakers resonate some chill vibes to its customers. The real show was right outside the seating area.

A dirty, young man, maybe early 20's if he wasn't still a teenager, dressed in a pair of loose-fitting pants, stained running shoes, and a badly wrinkled shirt. A baseball cap, lies down on the ground for onlookers to throw out a dollar or two for his performance. Because he was dancing, to that slow relaxed beat... Break Dancing, in slow motion. From stalls to spins to isolations, every movement still in time with the tempo and relaxed vibe of the song.

I’d like to note that Vae’s badge is on a leather thong around her neck, but under her shirt.

Vaeltia was continuing along when she noticed the two Awakened on the side of the road, a quick look around gave her the knowledge that they didn’t see her, but then she was cloaked like a sleeper.

She was on her way over to the two mages, in their not completely walking together manner

And that was when the lightsaber sounded, she withdrew the R2-D2 iPhone out of her back pocket and looked at the text. Then did a quick turn around.

The breakdancer stood out to her now.

She gave the two mages a short wave ( Apophis Rubick ) before heading over to the expanding circle around the slowmiving dance routine.

As the song finishes his scoops up his hat, pocketing the few dollars in it and placing it on his head in one graceful swoop.

He bows to the crowd, the few that clap for him.

He tries to encourage a few more applause, not getting much of a response save for the few that had stuck around for his whole show.

He steps back from the crowd and closer the street corner, idly leaning against a street sign, rolling a quarter back and forth over his knuckles.

Vaeltia had arrived at the circle later than others, though the display itself was rather impressive, it was better than she could do regardless. She tossed her own cash into the hat, after taking the moment to scrawl a quick word across the ten.

“Standing around is rarely necessary when you can just talk.” she said aimlessly at who ever was listening, most specifically to the two mages who had done nothing.
