The broccoli was one of those side ideas, along with the other various vegetables, they were mostly out of season, but that was what grocery markets were for.
Vaeltia lived in a cozy third story apartment, it wasn’t her father’s duplex, but it was hers and she liked the format of it all. The apartment was lit half in flame and half in electricity and various design and art elements through out it. Four ‘rooms’ of a mostly open floor plan, it was something she liked.
And today she was inviting people over.
The table was set for five, one really only there out of respect the others for people who would actually be eating.
She was in the kitchen dealing with hamburgers of the not barbecue variety as she waited for her guests to arrive. At least she knew they would be better than West’s charcoal burgers.
