South East Memorial Lawn Park, sometimes called East Lawn Elk Grove, sits comfortably behind a sandy brown office building and respectfully high walls, with a neat barrier of trees behind it. Set back a little from the road, it is not crowded heavily by traffic, and seems to rest quite comfortably in its location.
In the Hisil, the Cemetary's walls are a little higher, and yet much more stark and overbearing. It gives the impression of trying to block out the outside world, and no matter the angle of approach, it is impossible to see beyond the barrier of trees, which seems to move and adjust as the Uratha angle themselves. The leaves are starkly yellow and white rather than green, and the branches have an unpleasant reaching look about them.
There is nothing friendly here. There are no packs, and this place is not tended. The air of unwelcome is palpable in the atmosphere. Even the walls of the building seem to scream that if this place wanted the tender ministrations of the Uratha. it would already have them.

Dalu Nick moved through the Hisil with the purposeful stride of a man who knew his mission and intended fully to carry it out. This was not a Crusaders strike mission against the Pure - no, this was something entirely different, an unknown quantity for the Iron Master who had already well knew the might of the Anshega.
It was a chance to do a service to one who deserved to be honoured... and to correct a wrong at a place that plainly seemed to not want them here.
He swept the area with a glance for any trouble, his coming not particularly stealthy in its doing. A calm glance, then, at the ex-pats as he silently wondered what they made of it.

Marcus walked across the Hisil in Dalu with long, relaxed strides. His expression though was set in a firm, attentive mask as he scanned the area around them. The bright blue eyes took in the differences of South East Memorial Lawn Park, and the oppressiveness of the place. Beyond that however, he was searching for anything else that might catch his attention that lay beyond the obvious.
He nodded at Nick, and raised in greeting the hand that was not holding his spear.
"Ready to begin?" Marcus checked.
Marcus is carrying his trusty spear, and wearing dedicated clothing: t-shirt, loose-fitting trousers and trainers.

Victor trailed just behind his brother, also in Dalu form. Unlike his brother, he wasn't wearing a shirt, or shoes. Apparently, there wasn't going to be any service if they decided to stop at the nearest Denny's on the way over. This showed off several things - a pretty trim and in shape figure for a bloke in his forties, but also a great deal of scarring. A lot of them were small, circular, and very, very old. More recent ones were carved in the shape of a crosshair, the mark of his initiation. He wore both with openness and honesty, but for very different reasons.
The combat trousers were a necessity for a sniper. He needed some easily accessible place to reach his spares, and unlike most missions into the Hisil, this one was so far out of territory that he wasn't willing to try his usual tactic of ditching excess weight if he had to. That meant only his dedicated stuff was coming.
The Springfield M1A was braced comfortably against his shoulder. He move quietly behind his brother, and dropped into a brace position, raising the scope to his eye and scanning the walls with sharp, practiced efficiency. He might not be military in the human sense of the word, but in a lot of ways, being a Blood Talon had given him the extra shove to get extremely good at doing this.
He didn't talk. That, as far as he could see, was Marcus' job.

Fiona moved cautiously through the untamed Hisil, the sheer oppressiveness of the place beginning to weigh on her. She still felt lost at the best of times in Sacramento, a city that covered twice as much ground as her home despite holding less people. But she hadn't felt so unwelcome as this before.
The Cahalith had shifted to Dalu shortly after crossing, and tried to moved quietly, but her attempts at stealth were scuppered by her haste to join the group quickly. She felt acutely vulnerable on her own, and noted every detail around her, half expecting every shadow to hold a threat.
Shifts to Dalu, failure on Stealth, 8 successes on Perception
Catching up to them, she gives them a nod of recognition, and waits for instruction.
Fiona is wearing her dedicated outfit of jeans, denim jacket, and tshirt with walking boots. She is also wearing a small dedicated rucsack containing her phone, wallet, a flashlight, a box of matches, a bottle of water, and a swiss army style pocket tool.
Nick's eyes took in Victor's scars for a brief moment, and he offered the three other Uratha a nod as they arrived, peering over at the walls for a moment before looking back at Marcus. "Let's get to it," Nick agreed, getting set to go. Once Marcus headed in, Nick would follow quietly, eyes peeled for any danger that might be lurking beyond.
Having to speak out loud was truly unfortunate. Digger's gift that connected their thoughts was particularly handy, since the Iron Master was not one for talking much.
Victor and Fiona both spot a flash of movement in the trees. With Fiona's sharp Dalu eyes, and Victor's training with a scope, they both effortlessly pick out the shape of green, leafy faces peering through the branches. They also catch a glimpse of sharp, pointed teeth.
Whatever these things are, they don't look particularly friendly.
"Eyes up," Victor said quietly, not moving from his kneeling position. "We got sommat overhead. Nasty little buggers by the looks of 'em."
Why couldn't the Hisil have friendly little buggers in it? They never seemed to run into little bastards that wanted to play tag, or just ignore them. Always the ones that tried to kill them. And Marcus usually ended up trying to talk them down, and have a long conversation over whatever was bothering them, or whatever. Which was probably complicated, and would have been more easily solved if they'd just shot the thing.
Yeah, okay, so often Marcus' solutions were good, and worked, but that wasn't the point. Sometimes, the answer was just to shoot it.
Marcus had already been vigilant the moment he arrived but, with the alert from his brother, he tensed a little and his fingers tightened around his spear. He was not a fighter, the spear being used for fishing more often than not when travelling far afield, but it's presence was a faint comfort.
There was a reason though, that Victor was the "muscle" so to speak. The younger Baines was deadly with a gun.
He followed Victor's gaze. "Alright," he murmured to indicate he had heard the alert. He assumed the others would be likewise prepared to act should the need arise.
"I can see them," Fiona replies, with a short nod to Victor. Though the Cahalith had already spotted the faces, the heads-up was appreciated.
She takes a moment to study the green faces, or at least what she can see of them through the foliage. Though appearances could vary wildly between spirits of similar types, the Bone Shadow hoped to gain some insight into what they were dealing with.
They could just be plant spirits, I suppose, though they seem a wee bit aggressive fur that...but the hedge is a boundary, tae keep folk out, so maybe they're guardians o' some sort...
