First, that she's staring at her outstretched thumb like she's never seen it before. Second, that her t-shirt and hip-hugging jeans are both torn. Looking at the places where the tears are, you can see that she's been cut, and some of the wounds still bleed slowly. Oh, one other thing, too. Her Mein. The girl's hair, her face, and her hands are all dripping putrid black oil on to her clothes and on the ground at her feet.
"...I...don't..." she starts to speak, and oil drips out of the corners of her mouth and off her tongue as she does so. Finally, she looks directly at Marcus-
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
-and screams in terror. Marcus hasn't heard screams like that since...well...
Mystery girl turns around and starts running through the open field behind her.
Sighing, Marcus quickly rolls up the window and locks the doors as he gets out of his Jeep. Calling upon his innate toughness and endurance, he's off like a shot after "Olive Oyl". What is with all of the crazy birds popping out of Hedge-knows-where lately? First Nela, now this one... "Oy! You! Stop! You need help!" It doesn't occur to the Elemental that chasing after her is probably not going to put her at ease...

She's about 50 yards from re-entering the forest at the end of four turns.
Marcus races across the field, intent on catching the girl before she reaches the stand of pines. He gains on her fleeing form as he runs, but eyeing the trees, he realizes that he will not catch her in time if he doesn't get the lead out. Focusing on his target, he lengthens his stride and pours all of his remaining energy into one last desperate burst of speed. Ignoring the burning in his chest, he is a flash of quicksilver as he sprints toward his goal. Despite his instinct to tackle her to the ground, Marcus manages to simply overtake her and position himself between her and the trees. Hands out in a placating gesture, he addresses her in the calmest voice he can manage while trying to catch his breath."Alright. Stop. You're hurt. Look at yourself... you're bleeding. You waved me down. My name is Marcus. I'm trying to help you. Do you want me to call someone... or drive you to the hospital?"

She drops them just enough to look at Marcus' face as he tries to calm her down and you can see her eyes screwed up in confusion at her Keeper's new tactics before she announces that,
Marcus is genuinely shocked by her outburst. Although his reaction time is hampered by his surprise, he is still prepared to avoid any act of Wrath on her part.

"FUCK OFF YOU STUPID BINT!!! RUN RIGHT BACK TO YOUR KEEPER!!!" Turning on his heel, he gives the poor girl a "two-fingered salute" as he stomps back to his Jeep.
