Leah was in awe as she watched the passing of the crown and the sudden change in the room. She was looking around at the icy beauty that had taken over as the Queen spoke of the pledge. That brought her back to her senses as she casts a nervous look to Danny and Degnar, and takes a small step forward. It was now or never and she had to get over her fear of those in power. Thankfully someone before her spoke the Pledge, so she didn’t have to look like an idiot asking what the Pledge was. She balls her hands up into fists, keeping them at her side to try and help sooth her nerves as she steps all the way forward and address the beautiful Queen, reciting the Pledge she had heard word for word. Once done she quickly steps back to her spot, heart racing in her ears.

Morgan spotted Leon and smiled before giving a small wave back to him. She didn't want to interrupt the ceremony by making any big gestures. She was also pulled in by the new queen's speech. Morgan was quite touched by the part at the beginning, about sacrifices made by those we had lost. Her friend came to mind, and how she had died saving Morgan in the Screaming Jungle. How Morgan had failed to save.
She moved to the back of the crowd, not wanting to draw attention with what was about to happen. She did not fight back the tears anymore, letting them flow. Someone had just said it was okay so she cried. She kept quiet, not something she liked doing but it would be bad to cause a scene. She rubbed her sleeve on her face to dry some of the tears before others flowed.
After a few minutes she regained enough composure to stop crying. She wiped her eyes and nose with her sleeve again, hoping to clean off the signs of her quiet outburst. She was also glad she hand't put on makeup for the ceremony. She'd wait until she got home before crying anymore.

Magnus stands up from the bar and makes his way over to the Queen. He bows his head in respect to her and speaks. "I would reswear."
Then in a quiet voice, like a chant, he speaks the words of the pledge, each word uttered as if it were sacred.

After the newcomers to the Freehold had sworn the pledge, and those who needed to renew their vows did so, the Lost of Sacramento resumed the festivities. With all official business done, and Winter assuming the throne, those in attendance were free to enjoy the rest of the evening as they saw fit. Some chose to follow the Queen's advice and take some time to mourn lost friends, while others opted for returning to the buffet table for seconds. All in all, the Coronation had been successful, without any issues that seemed to have plagued the past few Freehold events. Perhaps it was a sign that things were improving, and that better times lay ahead...
