Bump Yumyumcrow
At length, the mountain nodded and gave a simple, affirmative, grunt. "Sounds like a plan," said he. "Always good to share some stories too." Green flicked a curious glance to the Blight Bent, obviously intrigued by what the rough-spoken Elemental could talk about. Then he dared to send a glance towards the Queen: an offer to participate, if she so desired.
And a test of how familiar he could get.
Katrin met Green's gaze with her own, her perfect eyes remaining void of any emotion. Without breaking eye contact with the Elemental, the Queen spoke once more. "Perfect," she said, her tone as cold as ever. "I am most confident that this arrangement will be beneficial to both of you, yes?" With those words, her eyes shifted slightly to include Smudge in her message. "I look forward to seeing the results, no?" said the Fairest, giving the pair a slight nod of the head.
"Prove your worth, and I'm sure you will find your right place in the Silent Arrow," she added after a moment's pause, the message directed at both of them.
"Yeah," Smudge said replied, the cold tone of his Queen always getting his attention. "Thank yew, me Queen," he added with a bow. Unless there was anything else, the Ogre glanced to Green and turned to head from the store.
Green nodded deeply. "Okay. Fair enough."
The mountain rose as carefully as he could and nodded respectfully to the Winter Queen. He followed the other Elemental as he left the store.
Nothing more needed to said. Deeds, not words, were what mattered now.
As the pair left the store, Katrin walked up to the front door of the store and locked it once more. Her flawless eyes followed the pair of Winter Courtiers for a moment, until she finally turned and headed back towards the back of the store.
End Scene. Great job guys!
