In the spirit of Autumn, when warm winds take on the cool crisp fall frosty days. But the chill can take on another type of feel. The chill of fear, horror, macabre and grotesque displays of fright. It’s the Halloween Party at the Four Seasons!

Those in the Freehold were invited by the Dread Queen to dawn their spookiest costumes for the festivities of the night. The night of fright…of terror…and a terribly good time. The Throne Room had it’s beautiful fall change, full of oranges, deep reds and purples from the leaves covering the trees. The Hollow still the same dimness it took on during the Coronation as pumpkins had scattered around the room.

But tonight, they were jack o'lanterns. Candles flickered within the scary faces giving the watchful glow as the staff of the Four Seasons gave the room an extra scary treat, or trick. Gravestones laid about along with skulls, skeletons bats and body parts. And within the Throne Room off to the side is a very peculiar looking door. Candelabras gave the room an eerie glow as the flickering flames made shadow play along the walls. Not to mention a little ambiance music in the background.

Of course, the festivities wouldn’t be complete without a little help from Fresh Tastes with a buffet to die for and Mrs. Rosemary…or is that Mrs. Bloodymary….

    Spooky....

Before he even went near the Four Seasons, Danny had sat down in a quiet place and let the rush of Glamour wash over him until he could have stared quite happily into a mirror in the dark and felt nothing.

Which, for a man possessed of a terrible fear of mirrors, was quite something.

Danny knew full well that given Terri's desire to make a genuinely scary Autumn party, he probably wouldn't have been able to turn up if he hadn't gone to the trouble. He found parties in general uncomfortable and frightening. Yes, it was just a balm, just to stand up for the Court, to soothe the nerves, all of that.

Or maybe it was because he couldn't bear to have it any other way.

Whatever it was, Danny had also spent some time trying to make a genuinely frightening costume. It looked rather good for it, too, even if cloth-work wasn't really his specialty. Maybe part of the reason that it looked rather good was that he'd simply taken a good look at himself in the bathroom mirror and emphasised certain... minor... features, and then spent some time artfully unmaking clothing.

Danny Tongs the Blacksmith was dressed as Danny Tongs the Ghoul.

His black eyes scanned the Freehold Commons, but before anything else, he walked over to the Emblem. As his creation, he felt it was only right that it be his responsibility to the Freehold to fuel it. One long finger stroked down the dull, leaden trunk as he fed it part of his own Glamour.

Danny very much wanted tonight to be successful. It would be good for the Court. It would be an excellent way to point out that there was, essentially, life after Rick.

Ever the child at heart, Stripes has always been a fan of Halloween. The fun, the frights, and now the chance to attend a real changeling Halloween party! For once he's early to the party intentionally.

Regrettably the tiger has no talent for crafting, but walking into the hotel it's clear he's got some sense of humor. The costume he's wearing is a piecemeal "Great White Hunter" outfit... with a twist. He's taken the time to shred the khaki shorts and white safari jacket with his own claws. Jagged tears ran across the back and one leg, doused with some red food coloring at the edge of the rips.

The outfit probably won't last more than the one night, but thrift store clothes are cheap thankfully. Unfortunately the tiger found too late that the dye and makeup don't stick to his fur as well. As such, he walks in looking more like a tiger that mangled some unfortunate safari goer and stole his clothes.

Scary, but not entirely what he'd hope for.

Still, it doesn't kill his excitement as he takes in the atmosphere of the Halloween decorations. He feels a stirring of pride: Autumn is in power! Those standing near might almost be able to make out some of what his mantle is constantly whispering as his excitement builds. He tosses a wave to Danny as he awaits the others.

Black-clad and robed, Perry diCarto drifted silently into the Freehold Hollow. His face could not be seen, his expression fixed in a terrible visage of slasher death to follow imminently. Fear was the theme of the evening, and while it seemed as though Fear and Desire could not coincide at first glance, diCarto disagreed.

Because tonight, his Desire was to provoke as much fear as possible. Fun times. He might also insert a straw through his mask so as to be able to get drunk, as he often did.

His hands unseeable beneath the robes, he silently approached the Great White Hunter, Stripes. Looking at him, Perry simply cocked his head to the side...

    "What's your favorite scary movie?"

The nagging to know had grown to much. If he isn't coming for him, Nero will lead the charge against the great hunter. But there was a lot to learn, so he decided to find some help.

As Nero walked up to the Four Seasons the buckles and dangling straps of his costume made a little noise. He had asked Tom if he had a favorite scary movie, and he had said 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. After slicing up a few strip of leather and piecing together a dirty apron he thought certainly the fear aspect would be achieved even if he was slightly off about the character. As he stood tall and thick in his stature he almost wished he could have drug along a chainsaw.

As he entered the building he looked around the room, deciding a drink would be a good starting place. As he grabbed a beer he moved into the crowd and greeted a rather shredded looking man. "Hey... am I in the right place?" Hopefully this guy wasn't as new as he was. Anubite25

The Winter Fairest really couldn’t be a Winter Scariest, but she could try. The one female that stuck out in her head for scary was one from an older movie, and now a cult classic. The Dancer easily had enough body suits that she could make work for what she had planned, and a little dab of this and a splash of that certainly turned out not too bad. And finding a spiky wig wasn’t difficult either. But would anyone recognize it, she didn’t care. Well, she did a little. The costume was entirely form fitting and sleak against the Dancer’s frame as it moved with her while she walked.

As she walked into the Four Seasons dressed and with gobs of make-up, the Winter Dancer flurried into the throne room as Gozer the Gozerian. The chill of cool air surrounded her figure as she surveyed the themed room. “Wow, they outdid themselves again.” She whispered to no one in particular. The room was hauntingly amazing and so was Mrs. Rosemary’s spread once again. Danny, was impressively creepy as hell and she gave him a grin of approval… at least she was sure that was Danny.

Then the guy with some weirdo Scary Movie mask. And a new guy or something dressed as another horror movie classic, Leather Face, she thought.

This night will be fun filled, or a repeat of Coronation. Gawd I hope not.

Hrm. There was some meeting going on, evidently, and everything had pointed towards this being the Freehold, and yet even so... Molly couldn't help but be slightly confused. This didn't make much sense, to be honest: were they trying to hide their miens? Was this some late celebration of Halloween, some Yank tradition? She should've worn a costume. Official event, though. She flicked her wings casually, trying to whip up the Wyrd around her as she strode up the stairs, towards the function room, following the trail of Changelings in costume. When it failed her, she frowned, focusing, before managing to get her grip on the clause, feeling the Wyrd wrap itself around her ears in a comforting, familiar way.

As she entered the hall, she decided it probably wasn't worth the bother of grabbing a costume, expecially if she wasn't invited. That said, she'd been able to whip up something quickly for the event. While the oversized pajamas she'd sewn up were only visible outside the Hollow, the lank, long black wig was still visible, as was the array of sores and scratches drawn over her skin. The short, overly revealing green dress, however, stuck, giving the costume a remarkably unadorned, unfinished appearance. Pity. With a sigh, she adjusted the brilliant plush butterfly on her shoulder, made up of brilliant colors of velvet cloth, and glanced around the room, idly bopping up on her feet, letting her wings flutter in the air, before sinking back down to the ground. Hrm. No familiar ground to tread, save for the creepy guy in the hood. That was from a film, wasn't it? Must be something related to Halloween after all.

Even so, she wasn't exactly comfortable approaching someone who's face she couldn't see, and eventually skipped, hopped, flipped and fluttered her way over the ground, towards the Freehold Emblem and the man admiring it in silence. "Ello!" Her brilliant Irish lilt can't help but make the words as friendly as possible. "Beautiful piece o' work, isn't it?"
She smiled up at the Smith. "Sorry to bother you, but oi'm new, y'see. And y'seemed like a friendly-sorta zombie." She winked, once. "Oi'm Molly. Pleased t'meet you!"

Lich King Lou Striking Looks 4 (Regal) Presence 4 (Dominating)

    Lich King Lou

Lou was not much of a fan of Halloween growing up. There were rarely costumes that could be found in his size, and even if one could be found, his parents worried that a night full of candy, even once a year, would exacerbate his health issues. Aside from that, kids were mean, and even on all-hollows eve he couldn't escape the cruelty of even those who would be his peers.

For those reasons, Lou was more than happy to embrace his new-found confidence and looks for this event. While he wasn't one to dress-up much, he did play a lot of video games growing up, so his costume was inspired by Blizzard's Warcraft series. But Lou didn't settle for an ugly orc, or puny blood elf. Lou came as the Lich King himself, full in Dread-Knight armor. He splurged a bit on the costume, but he wanted to make an impression. The theme was meant to be scary after all. And if anyone in the freehold could pull off a terrifying Arthas, it was Lou.

Lou looked around at the room, enjoying the various costumes they wore. No matter how hard he tried Perry diCarto couldn't hind his swagger beneath a mask, and Lou grinned brightly at him when he managed to catch his "ghostface". L'aire, of course, was ever beautiful, though her costume didn't really evoke fear in the Draconic. He winked at her upon catching her violet eyes - continuing their new-found tradition of eyeballing each other across the room instead of having a conversation. Lou was in a particularly playful mood tonight.

While the others in the room didn't stand out as much as the fairest (naturally), Lou could see that they put alot of work into their costumes, and did his best to acknowledge them for it. Of the others, the one who stood out the most was the unadorned changeling talking to Danny beneath the freehold emblem. I'll have to meet her, Lou thought to himself as he scanned the room.

Seeing that everyone was pretty much engaged in conversation save for L'aire, he decided to approach her after all, and get the conversational ball rolling. He strode up to the dancer, a dark smirk on his face, doing his best to seem grim and cold like the Lich-King himself.

"An interesting choice of costume, L'aire."

    Description

Terri's Mask is that of a petite, cute woman with vibrant red hair that has black streaks throughout. Obviously athletic, her natural demeanour is friendly and she always tends to have a smile on her face.

Her fae mien is akin to a red squirrel. She has a long bushy tail and ear tufts that poke through her hair. The black streaks are actually black feathers the are a part of her mien now,; a part of her noble order.

Terri's powerful Mantle initiates itself as the smell of baking bread but brings with it the feeling of the Harvest, that time to take stock of the coming troubles.

One of the most nerve racking times for any young, budding woman was the night of her prom, waiting for her date to come and pick her up in a rented limo or another form of transportation. It was, perhaps, the embodiment of what fear can be; excitement and trepidation as the clock ticked by.

In the form of movies, one scene captures this perfectly, the horror of what can happen when the girl is targeted, ridiculed and humiliated. To Terri, it was one of the most terrifying moments in cinematic history.

Which is why the Autumn Queen entered the Throne Room wearing a beautiful white dress, matching shoes, a tiara and a small rose corsage on her right wrist. It would have looked absolutely stunning on the petite redhead if it was not for the amount of red dye and syrup mixture that she had mixed and stained the dress, her shoes and liberally poured over her hair, down her face and arms so that as it dried, it looked like pig's blood just like that used in Carrie.

With a glance around, Terri headed towards the throne....her throne, waving to those she knew, and took a seat, keeping an eye to make sure everyone was okay.

Serreth strode into the Four Seasons slowly, purposefully with barely a sideward glance at those he passed by. Tonight he was a god among mortals, a god of judgement and death. Stripped to the waist, with robes about his legs and sandals on his massive feet. He wore a very simply made headress the colour of sandstone, matching his rough skin, in the shape of a jackal's head.

With a feather in one hand and a basic set of scales in the other, he joined the gathering.
