Beverly stands at the base of the Wells Fargo Centre, looking up at the skyscraper with a light smile. She shifts her backpack lightly, and takes a calming breath, walking into the reception area and up to the desk. She smiles at the receptionist, keeping her stance relaxed, but professional.
"Good morning. Could you set me up an appointment with Mr. Deacon on the 23rd floor please? Could you tell him that Sarah Helling's here to see him, and remind him that old students often come back."
Beverely's lips curl in a grin, hopefully the receptionist will see the line as nothing more then a joke, rather then a message to let the Deacon know what she really is.
The Receptionist calls up, talks quietly on the phone for a moment, and then smiles at Beverly.
"I just spoke with his assistant. He said to take the elevator right up, the Deacon is available in his office right now."
Taking the elevator up 22-stories the door opens on well furnished waiting lobby. A beautiful dark haired woman is having a conversation with a lanky man with a crewcut.
