(Heartbeat) So you say this Glass....

As Leo (and Weavebreaker) leave the Javalounge to find some of the glass that had appeared from the accident, or fight, or kidnapping, or whatever it was. Unfortunately there seems to be a few other gawkers standing around the scene.

"Are you sure it was a bus."

"What else could it have been, a coop? I'm in a mystery bookclub, it has to be a bus."

"What about these puncture holes here?"

"Don't you know that was from last years event."

There is glass scattered about the sidewalk, and you notice that the five people standing around are holding small flip notebooks and at least one of them has a deerstalker on.

'Dear God he's wearing the Sherlock hat-wait- what event?'

Though they may not be the most credible sources, a little more info wouldn't hurt. Especially since we don't have much to go on yet besides the phone and blood.

Leo let out a brief sigh before approuching the group, walking up to the largest piece of glass then turning to adress them. "Gentlemen, what seems to be the matter? And where did all this glass come from?" Leo bends down and picks up the large piece of glass and stares at it curiously.

[Weavebreaker]

This cannot be good...

Weavebreaker glances to Leo and then back to the small gathering. Moving to take a spot next to Leo, she cannot help but wonder what lay behind their words. She shifts her attention from person to person wondering exactly what they all are doing here.

"Well, Sonny," An older gentleman says while stretching his suspenders. "We're solving mysteries. And it looks like there was a fight here."

"You can tell by the glass."

"It still could have just been a car break in." The man with the deerstalker said.

"With this type of shard spread? I don't think so."

"There's no blood though." A younger member of the small group said looking up at the woman in purple. "I think Rich is right, it could have just been a break in. Sometimes the spreads don't always match, have you read your last book. Even you leave out details, Beth."

"You should also be careful there, Sonny, it is still glass."

When Weavebreaker walks up Beth turns her head to the side. ""Oh my goodness, I love your hair, where do you get it done?"

"David, I think you may be right....there is a shoe here."

"Shoes are fairly common, Tommy, did you forget last year?"

"Shut up."

[Leo Lockheart]

Leo pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and carefully wrapped it around the glass.

"Better?" He asked the man hat insisted on calling him "Sonny".

When he heard the other person mention last years incident, Leo cocked his head to the side and looked at him curiously. "Incident? What incident last year?" This maybe fruitless, but it was still a possible lead, and Leo was going to treat as such.

[Weavebreaker]

Weavebreaker gives the woman a nod. "Thank you." She says politely, though she does not care to sidetrack the conversation by addressing where.

Leo asks the question that she holds on her mind, so she feels it best to remain silent and listen to what they have to say. Still there were minor things, such as the book that she finds a bit curious. Every things matters...

Kite walks towards the scene, regarding all the people now moving about the area wearily. Calmly but tentatively, he first visually searched for his companions, visibly wincing when he spotted them speaking with a small crowd that had gathered.

Not wanting to interrupt whatever was going on, he walked a little closer and patiently waited.

Kite’s action:

Kite attempts to discreetly get the attention of either Weavebreaker or Leo - just to announce his presence - before once again looking around the location. This time, he is interested in the buildings and businesses on the street. Are they storefronts? Office Buildings? Something else entirely? Kite wants to eliminate the possibility that the kidnapping (or whatever it was) was recorded before he moves on to another line on inquiry, and some stores and buildings, like banks and the iconic 7-11, almost always have recording devices, and might have one inside that is pointed towards the relevant area.

Kite please give me a perception check.

"Much." The old man says with a smile. Before noticing Kite ( DaveJ ). "Are the three of you from a different team? I didn't notice you at the start."

Tommy seems to just glare at Leo ( Xander ), as if the very question was bringing up old memories. The girl who had mentioned it to Tommy turned to Leo with a smile. "Oh, Tommy here got beat up for telling one of our classmates that he was a CYS. He came home every day for a month without shoes on, we found them --* Ow!"

"Viktoria, Tommy -- Stop fighting, you know the rules."

The woman in violet smiles at Weavebreaker as if waiting for a response.

If Kite didn't have bad luck, he wouldn't have any luck at all...

'Teams? Start? Rules? This isn't a lead, it's a scavenger hunt or a race of some sort.'

Leo took a deep sigh before adressing the crowd. "Actually, I believe there has been some misunderstanding." Leo finished wrapping up the glass and put it in the pocket of his hoodie. "We should really be going."

He begins to move back towards the Javalounge, motioning with his hands for the others to follow him.
