Review the rules of this challenge on this post

Towards one side of the room, there was what looked like a rather long sandbox of some sort. It stretched out several feet in length, around fifteen feet to give the participants a good amount of space for the long jump challenge. There were red markings on the ground next to the sand, marking the distance by feet.

There were another ten feet of empty space behind the large sandbox, which was meant to give the participants the chance to get a running start before they leaped into the air and hoped for a successful landing.

So the Winter Dancer strode over to the long jump area. Immediately, she sat on the floor and began stretching out. She couldn’t afford to pull something or fuck anything up with any part of her body. Spread eagle seated on the floor, she leaned to one side and the other, extending her appendages with ease. Her warm up looked very well rehearsed as she turned this way and that for a few moments.

Rising from the floor again, she did some forward lunging. Then rotating her torso and looked down the path readied for the jump. Of course the Fairest glanced over to the drinks Sam lined up for that competition. She’d probably head over there once some of the other events were complete to watch who the victor was…or wasn’t in any case.

Damn, I’d hate to be the one to have to haul some of them home. I wonder if Mr. Bates would let them stay for free.

    Description

Terri's Mask is that of a petite, cute woman with vibrant red hair that has black streaks throughout. Obviously athletic, her natural demeanour is friendly and she always tends to have a smile on her face.

Her fae mien is akin to a red squirrel. She has a long bushy tail and ear tufts that poke through her hair. The black streaks are actually black feathers the are a part of her mien now,; a part of her noble order.

Terri's powerful Mantle initiates itself as the smell of baking bread but brings with it the feeling of the Harvest, that time to take stock of the coming troubles.

Heading over to the long jump, Terri moved next to L'aire, giving the lively Fairest a smile. It may not be her normal size but the Beast was still as friendly as ever.

"Good evening, L'aire. I hope everything's ok?" she said before stretching out also.

John approaches the long jump pit slightly nervously, as he'd not attempted this sport since high school. Still, he was determined to do his best, for the reputation of his court, not to mention his own.

He casts a brief appreciative glance over the flexible fairest as she goes through her routine, impressed with her dexterity as much as her beauty, before looking away to concentrate on his own warm-up. Staring just wasn't classy, regardless of how complimentary you intended to be.

He smiles in greeting to Terri, but doesn't say anything, not wanting to interrupt the conversation she'd just started with L'aire.

Perry strolled on out to the jumping pit, smiling at all three, who were familiar to him. "How are things, everybody? Great to see you all again," he said cordially, offering the trio a friendly smile.

Rook strolled over to the jumping contest with perfect, casual movements. He adjusted his tie slightly, but he didn't stretch. One of the advantages of his Wyrd-warped flesh was that he was always ready. It was hard to get tired, to feel weary. He never got the aches, or twinges that a man who hurtled through his sixth decade should have been expecting.

He wasn't surprised to see Terri taking part, and flashed her and L'aire his little, corner of the mouth smile.

"Well, may the best jumper win."

He felt he had a pretty good shot, but he'd seen Terri move.

Wandering over, Anya studied the area set aside for the long jump. It would be pretty interesting, she thought, to see how exactly she fared at this particular sport. She had very vague memories of high school sports days, but it wasn't exactly something that the Fairest had trained on. It actually seemed sort of fun, to compete in something she did not have to display her prowess at.

There were others, quite likely, who were far better at jumping around that she.

Anya smiled in greeting to the Lost who had currently arrived.

Heath bounded over with an energetic smile, his hair bobbing and dangling in front of the soft glow of his eyes. He noticed the Winter Dancer, how she was stretching diligently on the floor and looked about at the others curiously. He then began stretching himself, though quite awkwardly in his jester suit. Still, he was simply here for fun and enjoyment of friendly competition. Springy as he was he didn't expect to win, but instead to give it his all. "Remember to have fun!" he added with delight.

Lou joined the group, greeted the challengers as he arrived, and began to limber up. He was particularly excited about this challenge, and was curious to see how it would turn out. It was the closest thing he would get to flying...

"Good luck everyone, and have fun."

Duncan and Big Swilla were the next ones to join the group. "Hey," said the Snowskin in greeting to those already there. He then proceeded to start stretching, preparing himself for the challenge ahead. Swilla on the other hand, didn't bother much with stretching or anything. He just flashed those around a grin, one full of razor-sharp teeth. Perhaps it was the Coldscales' way of saying good luck, or maybe it was his way of saying, beat me and I WILL eat you. Regardless, it seemed that they were still waiting for a few others before they could get started.
