Derb nods half hearing the conversation, and frowns a bit as Spartan called them the games of strength, I knew it was too good to be the physics day parade. The wizened then shrugged and continued stack piles of chicken wing bones into towers. A fed Derb was a happy Derb.

Heading away from her conversation with Rook, Serreth and John, Terri headed across the Hollow, slightly nervous at what she was about to tell the Winter Sovereign.
But it had to be done. She was the Harvest Envoy, and it was her duty as a loyal Autumn Courtier and faithful wife to do so.
Stopping at a respectful distance, and placing the warm, friendly smile on her face, Terri looked to Katrin Byeli and Harvey.
"Queen Byeli, may I please speak with you in private?" Terri asked politely, respecting Katrin's position and ensuring she acted as any right thinking Commoner would, before adding, "It is a matter of some importance."

Katrin gave Terri a slight nod before turning to Harvey and communicating something with just one look. The Sun Banisher nodded at the two women and walked over to the bar to get himself a drink.
"Terri, I'm afraid this is as private as its going to get, yes?" said the Fairest to the Harvest Envoy, gesturing for her to take a seat next to her. "Unless we went elsewhere, but then we may miss the events, no?"

Spartan stands, "Ladies and Gentleman, the events are about to begin. So prepare how you see fit, but the use of contracts and other abilities are forbidden. Lets keep things based on skill." With that announcement Conner makes his way down from the dais and makes his way to the competition area.

As Spartan announced that the events were about to begin, another late comer strolled through the doors into the throne room. Betony Rue Jasons, Autumn's Witch of the Bitter Wind, walked into the room. She had a frown upon her brow as usual, her potent Mantle swirling around her.
The Witchtooth scanned the room, taking some interest in some of the things that had been set up around the place, eventually walking in the direction of the red circle on the ground. Mr. Bates also headed in the same direction, as he wrote something into the book in his hands. Upon reaching the circle he greeted Betony, giving her a respectful nod.
Meanwhile, Sam began to lay out a large number of tumblers and shot glasses on the bar, pulling out different bottles as well. Clearly, he was preparing for the drinking contest, which would be the last event. After all, who wouldn't need a drink after competing in the other challenges?

As the games went on, everyone in the Freehold cheered, laughed and feasted. The winners were announced publicly, and each received the praise of their fellow freeholders. In the spirit of Summer, the Lost of Sacramento enjoyed the rest of the buffet and Mrs. Rosemary's "sunshine," which surely got anyone who tried it drunk off their ass. And as the night came to an end, so did the competitions as Mr. Bates carefully ushered everyone out...and called a few cabs for those that were too drunk to make it home on their own.
