Dennis smith quickly made his way through the darkness towards his target. He had been observing the house and his occupant for a while now. And he knew that the dealer would be gone for most of the night, plying his wares to the many junkies hanging around in the barrens. And he more or less knew where the weak spots in the houses security was. And what a lot of those there where, the securty of that house was so bad he didn't know why the dealer wasn't robbed yet. Probably had something to do with not wanting to rob the supplier of drugs or something.

He slipped behind the house and closed in on one of the back windows he knew was already pretty banged up and wouldn't be that hard to just force open even with his less then stellar physique.

Dennis hadn't been the only one who was observing. Seth had been watching Dennis for two solid nights now. He knew from the start that he wanted to break into that dealer's cheap and rundown house. He could tell by the why he watched. But Seth kept his distance because he knew that the perfect opportunity to catch his prey is why he was breaking in. Seth would just drag him into the ally way after he was unconscious and he would just think that he had been caught.

Seth did not feel his beast.

When he saw him entering the house, he was still about a block away. Now would be the time. So Seth made his way over to the house and as the man was forcing the window up. After he got into the house Seth would follow.

Like almost always, his observations had been correct the wooden frame of the window was half rotted through easily gave away after a few tries, leaving a wide enough gap for him to squize through with a little bit of effort.
Unaware of the pair of watching eyes on him he slipped inside the house.

The room he had landed in was a spartan affair the only piece of furniture was an old iron bed was pushed in the corner. After a quick search he didn't find anything of value he moved through the next door. Ending up in the hallway.

Seth waited until he was all the way into the house before he made his own attempt at getting through the window. The opening was just above his head so he would have to jump to get to it and then climb his way through it.

Still unaware of the midget Dennis continued into the house of the dealer. He went through the first door on his left leaving the door open. it wasn't as if there was anybody else in the house. The dealer lived alone. A grin came on his pale face as he saw the contents. this almost was furnished enough to work as a half-assed office. He quickly walked towards the office and began sifting through the drawers.

Seth saw him in the makeshift office and smiled to himself. While Dennis found what he wanted, so did Seth. Now would be the time to pounce. Seth set up and jumped at him in order to grapple him to the ground.

His short arms wrap around him in a tackle that knocks him to the ground. Having him restrained for the moment Seth asks a question.

    "Breaking in?"

Dennis was completely taken by surprise as something small tackled him by the ground. His beast begining to scream out in rage as it sensed the predators taint in his assailant.
"The hell are you doing!" Dennis yelled in anger as he vainly tried to struggle out of the strong midgets grip. The fool probably thought he was a simple thief he could snack on! As he didn't want to have his precious vitea stolen by some uppety midget he dropped his mask. Revealing his beast.

Suddenly the mortal in Seth's arms has a beast and this greatly angers his. Seth lets out a loud hiss as his beast begins to boil over and threatens to take over. He feels it begin to reach the surface and struggles to try to keep it down. He struggles a lot.

His fangs barred, his hands on the verge of growing claws and a sharp predatory hiss coming from his throat, Seth manages to beat down his for the moment and jumps back off the new beast. He lands a good 4 feet away but remains in a definitive predatory stance.

Seth doesn't really have the time or the concentration to think full thoughts. He struggles to keep his beast down and to remain in control as his prey turned into a predator right before he was going to bite him. His nostrils fare, his teeth bared, his arms down ready to strike, his feet at a stance to pounce again.

He wondered whether this is friend or foe. And he wondered a bigger question: fight or flight.

Dennis scrambled back to his feet as the small kindred who had assaulted him jumped of him with a hiss. In the struggle his hoodie had fallen off. Revealing a pale face with two hidiously bloodshot eyes who where boring into the ones of the small man standing before him.

Dennis was coiled up and ready to make a run for it if the midget tried to attack again. Only problem was, run off to where? the only way out of the room was the door he came through. There wheren't any other exits, not even a window he could throw his undead body through.
"Didn't your bloody sire ever teach you about what obfuscate does!" He snarled at the midget. Before his mind caught up to the facts. Sure the vampire tried to snack on him. But it was only because he had mistaken him for a kine. So this situation might be salvageble. He took a deep breath to calm himself. Besides if the earlier situation was any indication the dwarf could wind him up like a pretzel any time he wanted.
"now, this situation is obviously the result of a misunderstanding." The nosferatu began to explain. "So why don't we both calm down?"

If Seth actually breathed then he would be breathing heavily. But the lack of breath, the eerie stillness, after such an event was uncomfortable to say the least.

Seth finally managed to beat his beast back enough to allow him to calm down. He slowed into a less aggressive stance and looked the Haunt over, taking a moment longer on his blood red eyes. He flexed his fingers as they began to loosen back to normal. And in a bit of a rugged voice he speaks.

    "My bad."
