Earlier that day, she had picked up a book about reading fortunes with Runes, and was now sitting in her Hallow, getting ready to give them a try. She had felt drawn to Pagan history for as long as she could remember, and the Runes seemed like something that would be natural for her.

The runes sat in a sea blue velvet bag set in the center of the small table she used for performing readings. She had already set the space up with candles and incense, which filled the room with the calming smell of cedar. After taking a moment to focus her breathing, she picks up and opens the bag, sliding her right hand into the bag. Her hand feels the cold and smooth surface of the runes, and she gently moves the runes around, mixing them as she opens herself to Fate. Her mind is focused and she asks Fate to guide her mind as she interprets the meanings, and guide her soul as she takes the meanings into her life.

With her question in her mind, she begins what is called a Three-Rune Draw. She selected three runes; the first stone is the Overview, which will give her an understanding of her question. The second is the Course of Action, it will tell her what her options are and what she might want to do. The third is the Outcome. The runes themselves were a blue agate, with gold symbols on both sides.

She then looked at the runes, the first one was Laguz, and it was reversed. It was an indication of a period of confusion in her life, and that she may be making the wrong decisions and poor judgments. She frowned slightly at this, but accepts what Fate has offered her thus far.

The second rune was Othala. This rune indicated that during this time she will receive assistance from family and friends, rather it be in the form of inherited wealth or of wisdom remained to be seen. But whatever form it takes, she will use it to assist herself on her spiritual and physical journeys.

The third and final rune was Radiho, and this brought a smile to her face, it seemed Fate was still with her. It indicated she was in a period of transition, but not all journeys were physical. It showed her that it was up to her to decide the path she wanted to take, and to begin to move along it. She should allow her instincts to guide her as she made the changes she needed to, and her journey would be a successful one.

After the last rune was drawn, she sat back in her chair. Her eyes looked over the runes as her mind worked out what it meant. She was in a transition of sorts with her life, and now understood she needed to look to her friends. They would have the wisdom to help guide her on this road, though the ultimate choice was hers, and she knew this.
