"I don't believe we've met, have we?" Chase was certain he would have remembered a gorgeous face such as hers Velma Star . "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Chase Ankers, Lord and Supplicant of the Ordo Dracul. To what do I owe the pleasure of your company?" It's amazing he manages such a charming reply, yet it is with a practiced tongue that he adheres to social graces.

“Ordo Dracul!?” she exclaims impressed and with enthusiasm.
The enticing Daeva reaches Chase as he finishes his presentation; they were both at casual talking distance, her deep blue aqualine eyes were a strangely captivating pool of crystalline water, with magnetism on their own.
“Oh me!?” her fragile right hand gracefully reaching to her heart.
“Velma Star! Recently arrived in Sacramento, I’ve met with the Madame Herald and Keeper and with Deputy Connery a couple days ago…” she finishes casually.
“So I’m looking forward to meet new and interesting people...” she says as her smile widens.

The enthusiasm of her words catches him off-guard and he pauses to regain himself, his eyes drifting to her lips as they form the words explaining her arrival in the city. "Ah, yes, I'm quite familiar with the Herald. I hope she found you well." His eyes managed to glance away from the beauty in search of the diminutive Herald but he could only manage the feat for a moment.
"Well I hope I can satisfy your craving for entertainment, Miss Star. I'm but a humble Dragon in appearance, but perhaps if you dig deeper my virtues will emerge. May I ask where you hailed from before your ingress into the Domain?" he asked Velma with growing interest.

“Chicago.” she informs.
”But Mr. Ankers, please, you shouldn’t be so modest… I trust no one needs to dig deeper to find your good virtues.” she offers in a flattering tone while her small right hand casually reaches for Chase’s forearm for a small moment.
“So? Mr Ankers.” Velma re-states kindly.
”How long have you been around here in Sacramento?” she queries continuing her reasoning and not stopping for an answer.
“I find it so difficult to know who is who?” The Daeva offers slightly distressed. “Did you had the same trouble I’m having with this many faces?” Then she finishes leaving some breadcrumbs as to her intentions.

Were he still mortal Chase might have been worried that he was blushing. She seemed rather forward making physical contact, especially when he was so anxious as it was. He tensed visibly beneath her touch, as if a lioness had placed a daring claw upon a young wolf. The difference in their blood felt more tangible up close.
He laughs nervously, "Yes, quite so, I admit I'm having trouble right now assessing the crowd this evening. As for my origins I am from Sacramento originally but spent much time on the east coast in Boston where I received both my education and my Embrace." He paused, his head feeling dizzy from the vampiric adrenaline mingling with his own attraction to the seductress.
"But please allow me to assist you until you gain your bearings," he places his hand over hers where she gripped his forearm, as a proper escort might. "Let us walk and talk and I shall point out those I am most familiar." At the announcement of Miss Sage's arrival at the door Chase nodded his head towards the likewise stunning kindred. "Ah, as you can see, Bailiff Sage has just arrived. She is the best to consult on matters of etiquette. This is, after all, an Invictus Court and much in the way of tradition and protocol can make or break a first impression."
He himself had had some minor faux pas at times and witnessed far more, though thankfully none that were wholly serious.

“Oh.”
"Baillif Sage?” The alarmingly beautiful kindred pauses for a while. “I shall seek her on the way to properly introduce myself to young and good intended kindred. she teases a bit as she looks toward the Baillif and then to Chase, perhaps a dint of impish jealousy was starting to boil under her skin.
After that the kindred allows herself to be escorted by the polite Mr. Ankers, her small and majestic shoes sliding effortlessly as she gazed around the assembly of predators.

He continued, feeling somewhat more confident about his predicament and glad to share his experiences with a newcomer. "I'm certain the good Herald Villiers advised you to speak with your Priscus at some point. May I ask what clan you share your lineage with, Miss Star?" as if he didn't already know. Only a Daeva could be so lusciously alluring. But then again he had been mistaken about such things before. Nothing should be assumed by one's appearance. As if by reflex he likewise searched the crowd for Harpy Brown. He contributed most of his experiences with Daeva from his interactions with the sweet socialite.

”Daeva!”
“Do you happen to know my Priscus? Is he nearby?” she finally asks, quietly answering Chase's question and offering one of her own.

Ah yes, of course, thought the Ventrue and then halted his slow gait to think a moment. He was sure Harpy Brown held that title only. So who was the Priscus for Clan Daeva?Thinking back to his initial arrival to the Domain he tried to recall the presentation of entitled kindred. And there was also that instance with Daymian where he had made mention of the Daeva Priscus.Remember 2suxx
"Judex Twist," Chase says slowly. "Yes, I believe that was their name, a woman I suspect. I've seen many woman in attendance around the Prince who fit that description, but I cannot say I'm confident in placing her since I've never met the woman formally."

“A Judex no less…”
“It sure is good to be a Daeva in this town.” Her words escaped her mouth casually and with a brush of pride.
It was not like she hoped to have it easier by having a priscus that was the ruler of disputes inside the ruling covenant… but it certainly payed to remember others of that.
Velma fanned herself gently with her thin and delicate hand as if to stave away the uncomfortable night heat.
“It’s a shame you haven’t had the opportunity to meet her, I shall endeavor to make my presentation though.”
“But tell me Mr. Ankers what do you currently pursue in Sacramento?” her lips supple closed for a while and then they widened a bit.
“... besides of course entertaining recently arrived kindred during executions of course” the Daeva offers smiling a bit, trying to ease the mood of the occasion.
