    OOC Answer

As Aenigma read over more and more of the comments Spyder is making on the website, he started to notice a pattern. Spyder often commented on posts involving large collections, and seemed particularly interested in the contents of those collections. The comments often carry an underlying urgency which seems to have increased over time. A few times, the comments have taken a decided turn for hte nasty, calling the intelligence of the authors and other commenters into question.

Bigpaw, Aenigma is spending an hour tracing the guy. If you'd like to take some more actions while that's going on, you are free to do so.

While Aenigma was doing an extended search, the Acanthus decided to try one of his own, and chose to start reading the What Is Laid Before Us book in more details, focused on piercing the means through which it could foster an Awakening to Banishers instead of a "standard one".

The book Miach is reading is written mostly in supernal script. Every few pages, the tone of the script changes slightly, but he's able to get the gist of what's on the page. It's a journal, detailing second-hand accounts of paranormal activity that the author apparently collected. Other than one story that seems to detail the effects of a curse, nothing stands out to Miach as being related to Awakened magic, let alone Banishers.

Aenigma remained fixated on his computer screen, reading over the comments posted by "Spyder." Whoever this individual was, it was fairly clear that they had an interest in the collection as well. The tone of the comments also indicated that this "Spyder" didn't seem to like the contents of the books and the discussions about them on the blog.

Hmm, maybe this "Spyder" is a Censor from a different Concilium? Or maybe I'm dealing with a Guardian...

Miach already knew that no spell lay on that book, and thus couldn't really understand how that book could have such an effect. He had never witnessed it, though. Could it all be a red herring ? Had Nicodemus and his's been mistaken ? But then who would have shot him ? Perhaps things were not so clear cut as they had first thought. Hoping it would shed further light, Miach tried to assess the book ascertained Fate.

Detecting changes to the books' fate would require a succesful cast of the Interconnections spell (MtA 148). Then an extended scrutiny action [Wits + Investigation + Fate] needs to exceed the threshold on that page for detecting alterations to Fate.

The book does have a destiny, but it doesn't seem to be connected to either of the two mages. It does not appear to have been tampered with however.

    No Awakened mingling, eh ?

Satisfied for now with his investigation, the Acanthus was about to inform Aenigma of his finds, but the young Warlock was still very much busy on his computer. While waiting for the other man, he idly kept on reading the book. After all, who knows what might be eventually useful of those supernatural activities the author had witnessed ? From time to time, he looked up to check on his fellow mystagogue.

Alright, let's fast-forward to when Aenigma 's search is completed.
