(1206) L'aire, Marcus, Alec and Al-Adin

"Oh." The Fairest's eyes widened and an appreciative smile slid over her face. "Why thank you Alec, just something in my closet." Mmmm keep it coming. The Winter's senses took in the faint smell of fruit of the man who approached her first. "I'm L'aire... or Sasha outside of the Freehold. Good to meet you."

And then another, a Metalflesh moved toward her and L'aire pivoted, the skirt of her dress swirled at her legs. "Thank you Marcus, and as I said to Alec, my name is L'aire." As she stood speaking to both gentlemen, her frame seemed in motion to whatever song she was thinking, yet she was not moving.

Then another quickly walked toward her. "My, my, I'm surrounded by men this evening." Quarter turning so that all three were in her sights, the Dancer looked to the Beast monkey. "No, I'm fairly certain I don't recall you." Her violet eyes widened a little, searching for his name.

Well, this could be an interesting evening. She couldn't help but soak it all in.

"You all caught me on my way to get a glass of pineapple juice." The Winter Dancer shook her head fake frustrated look on her face, easily deceived by the smirk on her face.

'Is that 'just something' from your closet? Wonderful!' Alec had almost said, then I can't wonder what else is in your closet, but that might sound a bit strange.

Then another man joins them, with a compliment about the beautiful woman's dress. How creative. 'Hello, good evening.' The Elemental nods to the man called Marcus, a bit awkward though. Am I that unnoticeable?

A third man! 'Now now, don't we get in line gentlemen?!' Alec jokes being irritated. At last he bows his head to the woman.

'Haven't you heard it then? We are your personal escorts today, I'm sure even one of us should get your juice, Miss L'aire.'

"Mmmm, Pineapple juice is delicious." Al-Adin comments, and ducks through the crowd with surprising alaclarity, returning in just a few minutes with a nearly full juice cup, not a dropped spilled.
"Well its nice to meet you L'Aire, I'm Al-Adin, the Prince of Joy, and the fastest thief in the city!" He smiles wide, taking great pride in his name. It is easily seen that he is very much a child at heart, and perhaps a bit more than just heart.
"Hey Marcus and...I don't know you either, but you look cool." He extends a hand to both Alec and L'Aire.

Marcus openly admires the craftsmanship that obviously went into the Winter Dancer's dress, and briefly wonders if it is possibly one of Terri Nutkins' creations before extending a hand to the Autumn Woodblood he belatedly realizes he might have unintentionally snubbed. Typical elemental.

"Alec, is it? Marcus. Nice to meet you."

The hazy Summer heat and faint roar of the metalflesh's mantle had effectively smothered the weaker manifestations of the colder seasons, so he reacts with some surprise when the noise is drowned out by the sound of children laughing. A smile soon spreads across Marcus' face as he gives the fastest thief in the land a friendly slap on the back.

"Alright, Al? Good to see you. What have you been up to?"

Despite his words, Marcus appears somewhat distracted and repeatedly glances at one of the tables nearby.

Laughing heartily L’aire felt a little honored. “Well now, that’s a new one to me Alec. Personal escorts?” The Winter Fairest smirked and shook her head. She was of no importance to the Freehold so the comment was surly in jest. She quickly waived up one hand. “But I’m not complaining. Flattery will get you everywhere.” Her tone playful as she looked to Alec for a moment. The scent about Alec warmed her a little she thought she picked out an apricot in there somewhere.

When Al-Adin returned quickly with pineapple juice she barely knew he was gone. “Thank you Al-Adin.” L’aire took the glass from him, but didn’t take a drink yet. “Fastest thief in the city hmm? Should I keep an eye on my pocket book then?” Still a smirk on her face indicating she was joking. Then he made the ‘cool’ comment and the lids of her eyes lifted a moment. Perhaps it was the sound of children nearby that the Winter Dancer in a playful mood. Yet it was a little strange, considering there weren’t any around.

Her violet eyes looked to Marcus with a curious expression. It was hard to not notice someone’s eyes constantly flicking away from those he stood near. “Something the matter Marcus?”

Hmm hmm, curiouser and couriouser.

'Prince of Joy?! So that's what makes us smile here.' Alec says, with a smile. Then as he receives the compliment the Elemental's shyness shows. He shakes Al's hand, but unintentionally uses his left hand to rub his cheek. 'Aaand, thanks, I guess.'

Then he also shakes Marcus' hands, 'It is indeed a pleasure,' and looks at him from top to toe in just a second.

As soon as L'aire has her drink Alec nods again, 'There you go, anything else? Just ask.' Although when the wonderfully dressed Winter Courtier really does ask a question, the Woodblood can only wait for a reply. He can only hope there's nothing wrong.

"We saved Yata!" Al-Adin crows, obviously very very impressed with himself. "She went missing a while ago and so I've been looking for her and then I found her, and then we took her to the hosptial and her sister showed up and and things got weird but then Yata wouldn't wake up so Terri and Mr. Bates and Tally went into her dream and fought some demons and there was this big Spider Demon with webs and everything and I threw a giant tube at it and it finally disappeared and then we found Yata and she woke up and we saved the day!"

It was concerning that Marcus Evan didn’t answer but she left it for now.

L’aire took a step or two back from Al-Adin. Her expression was clearly overwhelmed from the word vomit out of his mouth. The Fairest didn’t realize she moved relatively close to Alec in the moment but didn’t move again either.

“Yuck Spiders. I don't even like real ones." The Winter Dancer shivered for a moment "Oh well… glad you saved her Al-Adin.” The Fairest did another full body shiver for a second.

Her hand went up as if she was expressing her thoughts while she pieced something together. “Prince of Joy and the fastest thief. That doesn’t make you the Prince of Thieves either?” The Fairest said whimsically to the monkey beast.

“My life certainly isn’t that exciting yet. Other than finding a job.” She laughed and shrugged her frame. “How about you Alec?” Her head turned in the direction of Woodblood her eyes widened a moment realizing he was just a turn of her head away.

Marcus absently answers L'aire after a moment or two.

"Hmm? No, nothing's wrong."

If the dancer follows the metalflesh's gaze, she notices that his attention seems to be focused on another fairest of her own Court who appears to be sitting by herself.

"That's nice, Al. Your friend Yucca's certainly lucky to have you looking out for her."

The Hunter of the Longest Day nods to the members of the three other seasons before walking away.

"Excuse me."

Marcus leaves the conversation.

A moment Alec is caught by surprise when Al-Adin suddenly starts to speak about one of his adventures, yet it seems true so he listens carefully. An, 'Indeed' is all the Woodblood mumbles when the Prince of Joy is finished.

'Hmm, you are searching for a job as well?! I ehh,' his lips curl up in a smile only a bit, 'I might have found one. Terri owns a shop I will try to see if I can help her there.'

'Beside that, my is not yet very exciting. But my craving for Fruits is so big that I will do almost anything to get them!'
