“Doesn’t anyone learn anything from fairy tales?” he mumbled to himself as he waited for whatever they were deciding on doing was done. He looked around the park again.
It was definitely the same park, but which direction had he been running in the dream? Would it have been towards or away from the Gate?

Degnar stopped paying attention to what the others were saying as he focused on finding a gate nearby. After doing a quick scan of the area, he notice the strange glow coming from a set of nearby trees. "Over there," he said, pointing where he had seen the shimmer. "I suggest you keep your eyes and ears open." With those words, the Darkling reached into his messenger bag to touch his furry friend inside. As he did so, he called upon his Contract with Fang and Talon, sharpening his own senses as a result.
"I don't know how familiar any of you are with the local Hedge," said the Archer, turning back to face each Lost in the group respectively. "But I would advise that we don't lose sight of each other, and not to wander off on your own." He turned back around after saying this, walking over to the trees he had pointed out to them.
The Tunnelgrub extended a hand and placed it on one of the trees, channeling his own Wyrd as he urged the hidden gate to open for them. "Let me in," he said in his usual tone.

Hedge hopping wasn’t exactly how he had seen his day going. To be honest, the only reason he was in the park (pleasant dreams aside) was because he had found in the past it helped him collect his thoughts when a puzzle was going on.
But then, there might be something that could help that writer’s block, and then Leash wouldn’t be on his case all the time.... especially since he knew what the other option would be.
Dominyk looked at the darkling blandly, I barely know the city, how could I know it’s hedge.
The Fairest's violet eyes glanced over to Dominyk as he mentioned the Fairy Tales. L'aire also thought back to scary movie for a moment. God I hope we're going the right way.
"Well, I'm new in town so I haven't a clue Degnar." L'aire honestly replied. She walked not far behind the Tunnelgrub. As he continued to instruct them on staying together the Dancer nodded. "Understood." The Fairest wanted to help in whatever way possible, but there was a world of confusion at the moment. She was use to helping people, but in a different way.
Her heartbeat jumped into her throat a second as the words were spoken to let them in.

GoodwillNightfall wasn't a fan of the The Hedge. He knew some Lost got off on tempting fate, or treated it like a street to drive down to stare at a lost love's house in the wee hours. Personally, he'd always wondered why they didn't put more effort into figuring out how to destroy or lock the Gates.
The last time he'd been in, he'd bent it it his will and almost killed a man. From what he'd heard, maybe he should have.
His hand returned to the cue case, unzipping it, and sliding out a slim blade. Silently, he let himself drift to the rear of the group, taking a moment to look behind them.
"Not a jot. But hey, no better time to learn, right?" Jezebel said, shrugging and watching the gate being opened. The hedge wasn't her usual thing. She didn't know a damn thing about wilderness survival, and foraging for food was tricky when you had to eat through a straw, and those were just the mortal concerns - let alone the wide variety of interesting ways the Hedge might try and kill you.
Well, at least there's something you can do about that last bit. She thought. Jezebel closed her eyes and concentrated, drawing the pollutants and chemicals suffusing her body closer to the surface. The veins patterning her skin became wider and more distinct, and fresh trickles of tar began flowing from her eyes and dripping onto her mask as her altered physiology came to the fore. She shuddered at the crawling sensation throughout her body. No matter how many times she did it, it never felt any less repulsive. She opened her eyes, wiping the worst of the sticky fluid away from her face as best she could.

Dominyk looked at Nightfall and noticed the slim blade. At least it would be more than one this time.
Not for the first time did the socialite wish he had spent more time actually learning from the Summer Ogress he was tutoring.
But today already seemed like one of those going down hill days.

The space between the two trees seems to darken as Degnar demands access to the Hedge. Some might only perceive it as a visual darkness, while others may also simply feel that there is now something dark and hungry on the other side. Regardless, as they each cross the threshold between this world and the insane wilderness of the Hedge, they realize that they are leaving such modern conveniences as electricity and urban planning behind as there are no lamp posts and no jogging path to help them find their way through the Thorns.

As the gate opened, the Archer motioned for the others to follow him through it. Once they had stepped over to the other side, he didn't waste any time as he reached for the bow on his back. The Tunnelgrub's Mask faded away once he set foot on the Hedge, revealing his rather unsavory Mien in its place.
"Remember, keep close together," said the Darkling as he turned over his shoulder to look at the rest of the group. "And keep an eye out for the missing woman." Degnar held a tight grip around his bow, his black beady eyes scanning the immediate area in search for any imminent threats.
