(Eolas) Late Night Shopping

Not long after their call do James and Chris leave the Temple to make their way to the bookshop called the Sunlight of the Spirit. Of course they believe that things are a bit curious, but what can they do? Or better said, what can one store owner possibly do? Just to be sure, the Mekhet took his katana with him, without doubt hidden...

That is what you'd expect, don't you?

Well, Chris, the young and apparently at the moment too excited Vala is not capable on focusing on his Blood Gifts.

He steps in his mini cooper knowing that when things go wrong, he only has a knife and a clawed coterie mate to help him.

Some pissed off minutes later

Chris arrives at the said address, he had followed James Calloway , the Savage who wouldn't even think about sitting in a mini as long as the world has enough fuel to drive his bike.

The rumbling purr of the Honda Shadow stopped abruptly at the curb in front of the store as James pulled the key out of the ignition. He wore his heavy jacket and jeans, and was flush with Vitae, giving him a bit of colour in his rugged looks. Stepping into the night, he walked over to Chris and looked at his Mini with a critical glance.

It struck the Taifa that he could probably cut the car in two with one clean swipe of his claws, but he didn't want to make Chris defensive about his chickmobile.

"Shall we?" He asked the Mekhet, leading the way into the store.

At first a nod his the Mekhet's only answer. After locking his car he walks to the store and checks if the door is open, if so he holds it open for his coterie mate. 'Persons called 'Jim' go first.' With a smile he waits and then enters the bookshop behind James. He was the one that made the appointment after all.

Inside he looks around, who is there? Any Beasts? Any kine?

Outside of the Store

When the Mekhet and Gangrel entered the store, they would feel the press of a weaker beast. Though they could not see him. The Mekhet would hear some rustling around behind a shelf they could not see behind. The shop may have been narrow at first glance, but it seemed very deep inside. There were several doors, or curtained entryways off to the side. The feel was very inviting and eclectic, especially for those who worshiped the Goddess. There was distinct whistling above it all and whoever was whistling was very good. Though it was uncertain to the two men would be able to distinguish the lively tune. Which was completely adverse to the music in the background playing lightly throughout the store.

As Chris feels another Beast his hand instantly moves to his knife, but doesn't take it.

Coincidence, or an unacknowledged Kindred?!

'Ding-dong.' He says, imitating a possible doorbell. He doesn't feel a lot for searching this store. It looks awesome though, much bigger than expected. But there are more surprises...

Not to worry, DP. Got assigned a couple days off due to it...

Chris's ding-dong was not repeated by Jim. The rhinoceros in his Blood announces his arrival for him, letting out its thunderous presence into the room and snapping at Jim's psyche, trying to drive him forward into the red. But his meditations had succeeded long ago. Not every weak Beast needed to die on sight, this he knew. The roar may have been issued, but any subsequent rampage was harshly squelched.

His eyes scanned the room, looking for a threat or a sales associate -- or possibly both. He noted how nice the store was and looked forward to the treasures within, but first, he had to be sure the Beast was not a threat.

As the gentleman moved further into the store, the faux ding dong Chris made must have made the beast move out of it’s area. He rounded the corner and his own beast wanted to escape from Jims. But kept calm and watched the gentlemen as they wandered in further.

“Hello gentlemen.” He said with the same slow smooth tone that the man on the phone had before. “Can I help you folks find anything?” His smile was welcoming and friendly. His soft eyes moved toward Chris and there was a look that was trying to place the Mekhet from somewhere.

His Beast sneering and stamping inside its fleshy prison, James nodded to the man. "Good evening, mate." He smiled. "We spoke on the phone earlier? I'm Jim. This is Chris." He motioned to his coteriemate. "Thanks for meeting with us tonight."

'Good evening sir.' Chris nods as a greeting, then looks at Jim while he speaks. Mate?

He sees the man looking, and starts to wonder himself...
