As Deputy Grigoriev and his team arrives they find Cheyenne Holloway, loyal servant of the Reeve, waiting in the Lobby of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Cheyenne gives Sidor a polite nod of her head and gestures for them to follow her toward the steps.

Dr. Swift arrives along with the others. While his demeanor is calm, he is quite obviously alert as they enter the lobby, taking in details of his surroundings. He notes points of entry and exit that a potential killer might have used, surveillance cameras and the location of any security desk or checkpoints. He nods when they are met by the ghoul, though like her he doesn't say anything. When she indicates to follow he nods, awaiting the others of the group as well.

Sidor's shadowed face was masked by the brim of the fedora, and the way he kept to the very edge of light pools automatically. It was a well-practiced movement. The Nosferatu believed in keeping his Curse under as much control as was literally possible, in order to prevent inconvenience to others.

That meant that it was essential to avoid others seeing his face. Of course, simply because a human could not physically percieve the Curse didn't mean that they wouldn't feel it. The Nosferatu knew perfectly well from experience, that he could be speaking to someone over the telephone, or completely out of their line of sight, and they would still feel the cold, creeping sensation of the Stranger washing over them.

It was his theory that the outward manifestations were almost side-effects, and that the real nature of the curse was the Beast riding so close to the surface that it could be sensed on some unknowable level.

He had also never voiced this to anyone, because it was none of their business what he might or might not theorise.

"Good evening, Miss Holloway," the Haunt said calmly, and followed her up the stairs.

Doctor Powell fell into step a short distance behind Deputy Grigoriev and Dr. Swift, studying the unfamiliar decor as she went. The rear place she wanted to see however, was the scene of the crime, and there was a small sense of professional anticipation. Her expression was politely interested, and she simply nodded wordlessly to Miss Holloway before following the ghoul up the stairs.

It would be good to get started.

*As Max follows the others through the hotel, the first thing that struck him was how pleasant it was. When he was told there was a murder at a hotel; the thin Mekhet had envisioned a seedy no-tell at the edge of town. While it would be nice to investigate a place that didn't require him to disinfect his shoes afterwards, it did raise troubling questions.

This was a place where people watched, where people noticed things that were out of the norm. If someone had managed to slip in and kill two of the city's Kindred without being caught, there was a certain amount of skill needed to pull that feat off. Were they just that good, or had they been expected by their victims? The second possibility was frighteningly similar to other attacks in the city's past; but only time would tell what the investigation would reveal.

He nods a greeting to Cheyenne, following patiently while they walked to the room.*

Cheyenne leads the group up the steps. Cheyenne chose the steps rather then the elevator due to the less camera's on the steps then the constant camera of the elevator. Once up to the 4th floor the woman lead them down the hall to the a room in the center of the hallway. Room 406.

Cheyenne takes a keycard out of her pocket and holds it out to Sidor and steps aside.

Sidor took the keycard, with a simple nod of thanks towards Cheyenne, the movement looking oddly calculated, as if he were eying her throat.

    He wasn't.

It was just amazing how easy it was to read things like that into his lack of expression.

He swiped the keycard, reinforcing the ice in his veins as he pushed the door open, preparing himself for the onslaught.

As Sidor opens the door and walks into the hotel room he, at first, sees a very nice hotel room. Not top of the line, but not the Super 8, and thankfully not the Ridge. They will not have to worry about stepping on old Hypodermic Needles or anything.

So anywho, Sidor walks into the room and finds this room to actually have two rooms, it is a suite it seems. A livingroom area with a couch and TV, and a bedroom with an attached bathroom.

The bedroom door is ajar and that is when he gets to the real meat and potatos of the Issue. Blood splatters the walls and bedding, the bedding itself looks at if were cut to ribbons and the bathroom door is off of its hinges, forcefully I might add. There are two spots of ashes. Not really piles but its obvious that two vampires were killed in this room.

Sidor's shrouded gaze took in the rooms slowly, patiently. He didn't touch anything, just observing. The violence was obvious. He began to assess the place, making methodical, internal notes as he did so. It was painstaking, just as he was.

"Mr. Heinz? The ashes, please. Dr. Powell, spatter analysis. Dr. Swift, please assist Dr. Powell,"
the Deputy said simply, as he assessed the area for anything that might indicate this was a set-up.

Crime scene analysis isn't exactly Dr. Swift's thing, but he has plenty of experience using his head and following instructions. He nods to the Deputy and turns to Dr. Powell. "Just let me know what I can do to help." He looks around the room, taking in everything but doesn't move into the room yet. Don't want to destroy any useful evidence by bumbling around the scene....

Swift isn't much help, I'm afraid
