Justin was focused on making his way through the unfamiliar environment -- or was it too familiar. One never knew with these things.

Rook's elemental hulk-out gave the Manikin pause, however. He didn't have that level of proficiency with his Contracts - yet - and there was a part of him that wasn't sure if he wanted to be that good at it. The other part of him that was Machine had a detachment to it all and responded with assigning the phenomenon to another mental file in favor of meeting an immediate priority.

As the Summer Sovereign begins to lead the way through the thorns, Big Swilla just follows along in his footsteps, not particularly sure of where they are or where they are going. Perhaps it is the fact that the only thing going through his mind at the moment is revenge. As far as the Coldscales is aware, they are here to take down Enzo and his crew.

Justice will be served! That mothafucka is goin' down!

Due to the thick concentration of thorns, it takes the group about half an hour to finally reach a clearing of some sort. When they do, the first thing they notice is a house. As a matter of fact, that is the only thing they notice asides from the thorns in their immediate vicinity. Things are rather quiet around them, unusually so for a place such as the Hedge.

Swilla squints his eyes slightly as he sees the house, a wicked grin of razor-sharp teeth forming on his lips almost instantly. "Is that it? Is that where that fucker is hiding?" asks the large reptilian Beast, licking his lips as he watches the places intensely with a pair of hateful, predatory eyes.

Justin nodded in silent agreement - he understood his orders and it was time to carry them out. It was something that he took no pleasure in doing but the Freehold's safety was all that mattered in the long run and immediate results. It was what he had signed up for when he joined the ranks of the Crimson Court and anything less would be unacceptable.

No matter the final outcome, the Manikin was determined to do his best with the part he had been assigned to play in removing this threat from the Freehold. If a sacrifice had to be made, such was the responsibility he had chosen to accept the moment he started on his path to Summer.

Clare stalks along beside Justin, moving as he did to the right and watching the house's openings. For her court, and the freehold, she was determined to do her part. Her gun is at the ready, and the ogress's movements are paced and deliberate.

Inside, however, dread and anticipation flushed through her pounding heart. She'd have to kill, and that was terrifying.
