"How May I help you Miss McFarlane?" Conner asked giving her a polite nod. She did not strike him as dangerous. But then again, she is a mekhet. She did not strike him as much at all, but then again, Conner knows better then anyone not to judge a book too much by its cover.

The Grand Wyrm hadn't said so before, but he was Mekhet too. Worth keeping in mind. When Conner Greyson talked to her, Aileen nearly breathed deeply before answering. Had she been un-alive for less years... Thanks to the capabilities of the Mekhet, she at least didn't have to cope with a Beast, but from the look of the man, she would have bet his was a Crocodile.

She paused, and the pause lasted only long enough that a trained observer would know she was thinking about something. Do I tell them of my Dreams ? Would they understand ? or judge me ? I know them not...

*Max remains silent for the moment. He was here simply as an escort, and to perhaps keep an eye on the newest Dragon. After the unfortunate incident at the last Court Max had been to, he wasn't eager to leave freshly arrived Dragons on their own.
He slips his arm from Aileen's, taking a step or two back to let his fellow Mekhet converse. The rest of Court sudden takes on a magnitude of interest to the Grand Wyrm it hadn't possessed a few moments before, Max turning his head to watch the coming and goings of the rest of the city's Kindred. He remained close enough that he could be easily summoned should be be needed; but other wise leaves the other two Mekhet to their conversation.*

Conner listened to the words of the newcomer and took note of the woman's mannerisms, and her social inelegance. Conner could not help but see himself some time ago in this woman. But should last in this unforgiving society of Sacramento's Kindred.
"The Mekhet of Sacramento have a long and storied history within this domain. We have been relied upon in all areas within the domain. I tell you this to explain a bit about our history, but also that we would be very displeased if something was done to besmirch the reputation of our clan." Conner explained.
"Beyond that, Clan Mekhet have outlawed the teaching of Auspex to anyone who is not in the clan. If you are approached by anyone looking for tutelage in the sight, please inform me." Conner paused, having nothing else to say on that subject.
"Do you have any questions?"

The Priscus didn't beat around the bush, which was just as well as far as Aileen was concerned. She wanted out of this place as soon as done. Too many Beasts, too many people for her comfort.
I understand, Priscus Greyson. I will do nothing that could blemish our reputation. And I will of course abide by the restriction about Auspex.
She tried to seem obedient and calm, but that last word came out as nearly spat. Who would want to learn this thing that enhances your perceptions anyway ! Like I'm not already perceiving too much already ! Not a chance I will learn it myself !
"Very Well." Conner says and takes out a business card and hands it to Aileen. "This is my contact information. If you need anything, or have any questions, please reach out to me. It is both my responsibility and my honor, to help members of my family... who are in good standing." Conner says adding the caveat at the end, leaving the obvious messege unsaid...

There was nothing the young Mekhet could add, really, so she nodded, accepting the words, and their implications. She took Greyon's card, and gave his in return, as well as to Max Heinz.
It is clear, Priscus.
Then, all business done, she had no reason to dally anymore.
I have no more questions, and I dare not keep you from all your duties. Thank you for your time, Priscus Greyson. With your permission, I'll now take my leave.
She curtsied weakly, and turned away quickly.
