Berryessa
The Seekers abandon the car a short way from the shores of the lake. It's a bright, clear day, and even from behind the curtain of trees, they can smell the crisp water. The place seems peaceful and alive, and completely pleasant. It's easy to forget that this place used to the be home to an immensely powerful vengeance spirit, and that the same spirit had been bloodily driven from it.
Other than the woodlands, and the chirping of birds in the trees, the pack are all alone. For now.

Matthew glances around, taking in his surroundings. He even sniffs at the air, letting the smell of the place wash through his nostrils, but it just wasn't the same in Hishu. The wolf tugs at him, demanding that he return to its shape, but he continues to hold the urge at bay. Soon, soon.
With a brief moment's concentration, he draws on the pack bond, solidifying it into a conduit for shared thought, at the same time masking his own scent. He felt sure there would be confrontation with the Anshega soon enough, but far better to postpone it a bit, if it allowed it to be on the Seekers' own terms.
Unspoken Communication, Feet of Mist
Stefan closed his eyes, focusing on the new Gift he'd learnt, and finding the threads of it slipping through his fingers. Annoyance flickered through him like the stirrings of an oncoming raincloud, before he brushed it aside. Should've practiced more first. He shook himself and tried again, and it came easily the second time.
Around the Seekers, the clear sunlight became obscured as wreaths of white mist filtered into the air around them. The Storm Lord grinned.
That was more like it.
Concentrating, he opened his mind to the pack, feeling Matthew's presence as he identified the location of each one of them. Just in case they got separated.
Activating Silent Fog, Pack Awareness
Alejandra peered around them, and there was a sudden feeling of comfort as she scanned the lake and the wilderness around them. Yes, there was still the definite threat that came with being in uncharted, enemy territory, but this sort of place was so very her. Her blood pulsed with the desire to run through the brush, to dive into the crisp clear lake.
But she did not. She was with her pack, and they would not be separated.
It was more comforting and familiar feeling the pack so close to her, and she glanced at each of them, giving a gentle nod.
The Irraka called on the Gifts the Lunes had taught her. It was the first time she had used one of them. She felt a shiver of Glory.
Activating Feet of Mist, Running Shadow, -2 Essence
Sally slides out of the car, putting her book back into her satchel. She inhales deeply through her nose, "So, where do we begin?" Sally looks out over the water, "So pristine..." Sally says thinking out loud.
The mist that flows from Stefan slowly obscures the area around them. Though the Seekers can pick out each other, there is a heavy, white blank that cannot be pierced scant yards away.
It has begun.
<<Well, Sal, I guess we go, and we do what we do best,>>Stefan thought to his pack sister, feeling the power of the link between the four of them. <<We sneak in, we solve the problem, and we go home with a new sense of purpose, and we eat a badass pizza.>>
It probably wasn't the best inspirational speech he'd ever given, but he was sort of regretting not having a pizza right now.
Alejandra snickered nonetheless. It was... inspirational for the new generation.
And she did enjoy pizza.
<<I think we are as prepared as we'll ever be.>> And she was ready, raring to go. They were going to do this, and if anything went wrong, they would kick ass and add a new tale to tell to future pack members.

Matthew nods approvingly at the blanket of fog. *Nice job. Sally, can you keep an eye on the Hisil? If we're lucky, we may even manage to run across their locus.*
Damping the sound of his footsteps, he picks a direction and begins walking. *Let's move out.*

Sally nods, "Of course," she thinks to her packmates. Sally looks around, her left eye flushing white for a moment as it pierces the veil.
The Hisil overlays the mortal realm as takes stock of there environment.
