Rick's brow furrows as he hears the footsteps; and he himself steps off to the side of the doorway so he wouldn't be immediately visible if and when it was opened, motioning for the others to do the same. His voice was soft so as not to carry, but the traces of urgency were easily apparent in it. "Sounds like we have company coming. Hard to imagine he wouldn't notice the dog, so if/when the door opens we'll have to shut him up fast."
Danny slid back against the side of the wall, trying to calm himself, for the first time actually trying to make that clarity come to calm himself down. His long fingers flexed on the grip of his canesword.
I don't want to kill someone if I don't have to, he thought, wondering if a good hard hit with the wood of the cane would do enough.
He hoped like Hell that it would be, because if he shouted, they could be in a shoot-out.

Brushing his hand against the door, the metalflesh attempts to disable it with the Touch of his Workman's Wrath, possibly causing the lock to jam or the hinges to cease working.

Marcus and those standing near the door can hear a metallic sound, as the insides of the doorknob are busted by the Summer Hunter's Contract. Eventually, they hear the footsteps come to a stop in front of the door and they see the doorknob move around a bit. After a brief pause, the movements start again but the door does not seem to budge.
"Hey Chino, this door is busted mayn," says a male's voice from behind the door. "I'm gonna walk around to da other door."
The group by the door is able to hear the footsteps walking away from the back door, eventually drowned out by the sounds of the music and the partying going on inside.

Marcus lets out a long-held breath as he realizes he has bought them a few precious moments. The gears in head are turning wildly as the furnace in his chest burns with an urgent intensity. He considers opening a hedge gate and tossing the poor animal's carcass into the Briars to get rid of the evidence, but there would still be all of that blood...
Fucking hell. Never a darkling around when you need one...
Exerting control over the chain once more, Marcus quickly manipulates it to wrap around the dogs body and whatever he can find nearby upon which it could have gotten snagged. He's going to try his best to make it look like the unfortunate pooch strangled itself on the chain and somehow fell against a jagged piece of metal, or broken glass in order to explain the cut. It depends on what he finds, really.

Stripes breathes a slow sigh of relief, letting his claws sheath once more. Marcus's fast thinking had bought them some time.
"So what next? We still need a way in that won't get us caught, right?" Stripes asks, watching as the Metalflesh begins trying to rearrange the dog's body with his contracts.
Stripes begins to look around, trying to spot any other viable entry points. A window, another door, air-condition vent, anything that the team could use to break in.
Danny became slowly aware that he was chewing on his lip, and he stopped himself, just barely. His mouth ached from the needlepoints of his short fangs.
Ow.
He was relieved that Marcus had had enough glamour in him to break the door, recognising the Contract. He hadn't dared try himself.
Not with so little left in him.
His long fingers flexed uncomfortably as he looked around for anything that might help Marcus in his work. He felt responsible. It was only fair.
He wished he could bury the dog.
Great, now they're all going to remember me as the guy who stabbed a dog... I feel like such a jerk.

Marcus and Danny manage to find a few things of use in a nearby dumpster; a collection of broken bottles and a jagged piece of scrap metal. Meanwhile, Stripes looks around the building and notices that the door that the Summer Hunter had broken seems to be the only way in from their vantage point. Perhaps there are other entry points to the building, but nothing that the Hunterheart can see from where he is standing.
