Matthew leads his pack into Fremont park's reflection, sniffing at the air. A chill runs through him at the thought of how far behind he would be leaving his territory, memories of his time among the Justicars flooding back. He knew this was different, that he was coming back. But even so, it still felt somehow like a desertion in the name of battle.

Sally is just behind Matthew. Saying nothing because she truely felt better. Her brothers and sister had helped her through her momentary dark time. She looks back to the others and smiles reassuringly.

Stefan walked just behind Sally, his heavy muscles rippling under the shaggy black pelt. He looked towards his Alpha as they walked to the Tur, but remained silent. He could feel the others nearby, knew their presence like he knew his own body.

It was... weird as all Hell.

But it was also reassuring. Family was a good thing.

Alejandra strode alongside Stefan, her pace purposeful. She held her own feelings of reticence, but mostly the Irraka was happy to be included again, in something useful. It was easy to draw comparisons between this, newer pack and her old, dead pack - but Alejandra tried to force them back down. They had no place here, save to teach her caution where it was needed.

Nodding to his packmates, Matthew pads farther in, casting about for their totem.

Golden Bear comes ambling down the slope from the Tur, his great shaggy pelt looking thinner and less bulky. After all, it is Spring, and hibernation is over.

He watches the pack silently as they approach, with stoic, calm eyes, and sits back on great, muscular haunches, waiting for them.

He doesn't speak. Golden Bear is a Bear of great brain, but few words.

Matthew nods a greeting to the great spirit, before almost unconsciously mimicking the totem's seated posture. <<Golden Bear. A powerful spirit, Remembers Bloody Vengeance, has taken up residence in our territory. He has endured much, but was deeply wounded when the Anshega evicted him from his land. We believe that he deserves to be restored, and intend to drive out those that have claimed what is rightfully his. But we must also see to it that our own territory remains guarded. Can you call on allies to watch over our borders until our return?>>

"Any help you can offer to us oh wise and powerful golden bear would be greatly appreciated." Sally says with a bow of her head to the pack totem.

Golden Bear considers this slowly, his great eyes moving over the four Seekers before him like a parent looking over his cubs.

    <<You speak of leaving,>>
he says finally. <<How long will you walk outside of the boundaries of your territory? And are you prepared?>>

It isn't a no or a yes, yet, but the Golden Bear is slow to judge.

Alejandra stopped beside her pack mates and regarded Golden Bear. They were prepared, she was certain they would not even think of leaving if they weren't prepared. To do so would be foolhardy and dangerous, and such mistakes were not for them to make. The Irraka held her tongue for the moment, but inwardly Alejandra knew that though she had proven her abilities as a fighter could aid her pack - she needed to find her voice as well.

"We are prepared, Golden Bear," Alejandra answered gently.
