Autumn Amongst the Treetops

"It is indeed." The words were a confirmation of Betony Rue's statement as Rick appeared at the top of the stairs, looking down over the arrivals. He tended to be fond of higher vantage point. A remnant of the falcon's instincts from his time in Arcadia, he knew. And something he doubted would ever quite leave him.

But what a view it provided him this time. All the various Lost, the mingling of mantles. It was the largest Sacramento's Autumn Court had been in...well, perhaps the largest it'd been since his arrival here. "Like Terri said, come on upstairs. She's got snacks set up, and chairs."

Mr. Bates - Wizened: Chatelaine/Drudge, Autumn Mantle 4

"Oh, hardly! I manage the place, but the Four Seasons belongs to the Freehold," says Mr. Bates as Danny introduces him to the Draconic. "It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Hanna." He offers her a polite nod before turning his attention to Betony Rue and offering her one as well.

"It certainly looks like the Ashen Court has grown in the past few months," he says to no one in particular, mostly just making an observation. The Wizened then turns his attention to the Autumn King as he addresses them from above. He performs a polite bow and says, "King Pereg, a pleasure to see you."

After greeting his monarch Mr. Bates turns back to Danny and Hanna. "Why don't we continue our conversation upstairs? It would be a pity to let the snacks go to waste," he says and then begins to make his way up the stairs, offering Terri a quick smile and a polite nod.

"Hello, Hanna, how have you been?" Terri asked as she entered. When the Witch of the Bitter Winds arrived, Terri gave the Ogress a respectful bow.

"So glad you could make it, Bettony, its been too long. How are Emma and Moira?" the Beast asked.

As Stripes entered, Terri gave him a wink. "Hey, Stripes, still surviving?" she joked, trying to ease the young man's tension.

Terri only watched as John arrived, giving the silent man a friendly smile before he went upstairs at Rick's ushering. She looked to Mr. Bates."Not a bad idea. Tell me, how is the hotel coping?"

Hanna nods back to Mr Bates, and smiles as Terri speaks up, "Absolutely delightful dear, and you?"

She follows Mr Bate's lead, and ascends towards the snacks and giving the King a nod of deference as she reaches him. Looking back to the rest, she smiles "So many people I haven't met. I really must get out and about more."

Snacks? Well this meeting wouldn't be so bad after all from the sound of things. Stripes smiles to Terri when he reaches the top of the stairs. He didn't have many interactions with the King's Heartsworn but they'd all been positive so far.

"Yeah, doing good thanks," Stripes nods to the truefriend.

As he helps himself to the snacks, Stripes takes a look around at all the others. Plenty of faces he'd only glimpsed at the Ash Run, and a couple more on top of that. Who to talk to first...

Betony Rue Jasons - Ogre: Witchtooth/Chirurgeon, Autumn Mantle 4, Rigid Mask

"They are fine, thank you for asking," says the Ogress to Terri. "It has been some time since we've met like this." Betony Rue talks as she makes her way up the stairs with the rest of the crowd, but hanging back just slightly. "We've got some new faces," she says to Terri as she passes by her.

"Hopefully not all of them are morons."

It had taken Aldamoth longer than he had expected to find Treetop Fashions, having taken a wrong turn along the way. He wore pressed black dress pants with a collared white business shirt, adorned with a thin black tie.

Making his way up the stairs, Aldamoth picked a few familiar faces out of the crowd. He remained near the back of the group, hoping that his lateness was not too serious a faux pas.
