The Safari theatre was in South Sacramento's not-so-classy area. It was amidst some small strip mall type stores. Inside the theatre it looked like any other. It was listed as a "cheap" theatre $2.50 to get in and cheap concessions. The smell of popcorn was nearly overpowering inside, as well as a sugary smell probably imbedded in the carpets. The theatre inside was just a little busier than usual. Tonight Sherlock Holme's: Game of Shadows was playing.

Sebastian waited patiently outside the Safari theatre, having taken care to ensure he was in a clearly visible position. He absent mindedly checked his wristwatch every few moments, never actually looking at the face itself. It would be immediately clear to anyone who cared to look that this rather insignificant middle-aged fellow was waiting for a wife, a child or perhaps simply a friend. It just happened to be true.

He could feel the weight of the small tactical flip-knife in his right hip pocket. This was his straw...his cutlery - but never his weapon. An animal fights with tooth and claw, a monster has no need for weapons.

Vorigan had been vague, but he was used to vague. Monsters never told you that they wanted someone to disappear, they always alluded to it with half truths. Always be deniable, never give direct orders. The unwritten forth 'tradition'. Well that was fine, as long as the scapegoat got his grass all was well and good in the world.

He glanced around, left then right, hoping that Ivan would join him shortly. He had decided to wait until he knew the score before hunting anything larger than rats, and nobody ever passed the salt. He was hungry, and he knew that hunger and stupidity went hand in hand.

Ivan had stopped by his resting place to retrieve his weapon, he had decided not to take it to the bar so as not to provoke any hostile actions but in this place he may need to use such tactics.

    Concealed knife and sheath

He walks with an easy unhurried gait letting Sebastian see him clearly before approaching the other predator. The theater looked like it had seen better days and probably being squeezed out by their bigger, more modern competitors. Vorigan said, 'something mysterious was going on here,' he thought. To Sebastian he said, "I'm here, now what, should we buy tickets and see what has been going on?

It was the 9:34 p.m. show and there were several people there for a Friday evening. Some young adults and some middle aged. Couples, singles and groups of people hanging out in the line.

"Are you here for Sherlock?" The gal behind the ticket counter said in a bubbly tone to the next mortal in line. She looked as if she was in college, and a freshman. Her eyes drifted in Sebastian and Ivan's direction along with the rest of the people standing around.

Sebastian pasued for a moment before replying to Ivan. He had been thinking about how best to approach this.
Perhaps it would be best if one of us skirted the building, see if they could see anything suspicuous in nature. No, someone must have noticed something mysterious inside, wandering around aimlessly will only halve our manpower.
Sebastian credited his continued survival to thinking outside of the box. Simply walking through the front door seemed unhealthy, but he could see no other realistic means of approaching this. All he could do was hope that whatever they were looking for materialised promptly. The thought of returning to his patron with nothing more than a 'the movie was mediocre, and the seats were uncomfortable as hell' worried the Mekhet more than he would care to admit.

By the time the young women spoke to the next human in line, Sebastian had already made up his mind. Turning to Ivan, he murmured in a low tone, barely more than a whisper "We're going to have to go in to find anything, let's grab some popcorn and get to work." If this mysterious thing was a monster they would feel it before they saw it, but otherwise it would be best to blend into the crowd. When his turn came, he spoke in a polite tone to the ticket girl as he pulled out his wallet "Two for Sherlock, thanks."

"I'll get the pop corn," he says to Sebastian.
Walking over to the concession stand Ivan talks to the person behind the counter, "Two pop corns and two sodas, please." While the attendant gets the product ready Ivan chat the employee. "So have you been working here long?

Nodding at Ivan, the guy at the counter, dressed in a crappy looking tuxedo was long out of high school, and college… and his twenties. He cocked a brow, not expecting to have someone ask him for something other than food. “Yeah, a long time.” He mumbled under his breath. “Too long.”

Ivan's heightened senses picks up the the mumbled word and he barely suppresses the knowing smile. "I used to work in one of these when I was in college, I always count my blessings if I didn't have to clean puke off the back of theater seats, or keep watch over the straw dispenser to keep some idiot customer from sticking his hand in it. When that happened you couldn't yell at them but you did have replace the whole lot to prevent health code violations." He grins and asks in a nostalgic sounding voice, "What sort of excitement do you run into on nights like tonight?"

Sebastian moved to join his comrade at the confectionary counter, having secured the tickets without incident. He overheard some of his fellow Mekhets conversation with the clerk as he approached, and he hoped there was purpose behind the otherwise banal smalltalk. He moved in slowly, and remained two paces to Ivan's right. Close enough that he would most certainly be noticed, without overly infringing on the conversation.
