"No benchwarming," Joshua tells the Acanthus. "We don't need a valet watching the cars." Although once the words slip out, he's suddenly unsure. The idea that they were going to travel in time was ridiculous, but... he still didn't know how long they were going to be in this cave. No.... better to have him come along.

Toby pauses, looking to Idun and smiling, "You haven't missed anything, seems we are all just preparing for whatever may be inside the cave." she then turns and makes her way into the cave, looking to make sure Idun is with her. She trusted her, and wanted her by her side in whatever happened.

As Anegima and Animus move through the cave they spot movement, Aengima spots that its a cat. Its moving with haste and meaning towards the back of the cave. They can both also hear the sounds of shuffling movments.
The acanthus nods. "Alright then. I can do that at least. Though you do have a nice car. "

Aenigma raises an eyebrow as he sees the cat, wondering what the animal is doing in that particular cave. "Umm, anyone know why there's a cat in here?" he asks no one in particular, hoping that someone would have some clue.
I wonder what Mr. Whiskers is up to? He was definitely moving with purpose...

A flicker of movement, and only an instant to correlate it with his mental map. A flash of adrenaline. Awareness focuses to a point, as his body draws inward, expecting a fight. In the darkness, hands shift, as the wolven nature he'd so carefully crafted asserts itself on reality.

Idun smiles a bit before invoking magic to enhance her gaze before following after Toby. She is sure to hitch her pack up a bit more on her back as she slows to walk at the same pace as Toby. As they enter into the cave, she does look backward before returning her focus upon the path before her.

A frown briefly crosses Joshua's face at what could only be sarcasm from Madog. He almost says something to the man but chokes back the defensiveness, and lets it go. It wasn't the time, nor place, nor right company. And... the man had a point.
At word that their presence is known, he pulls his pistol and slides the safety off.

The area around them is full of life to Iduns eyes. Animus can see unnatural shapes moving along the hallway just beyond a bend, where the Cat continues to move towards. Theres Maybe 15 seconds before that Familiar is closer enough to get everyone's attention.
The acanthus moves forward, having heard the same. He seems to be doing the beginning of a rote murda...
Then the world around everyone freezes a feeling a lethargy washes over them in a wave and then a blast of speed pushes out from in front of them.

Aenigma manages to stay up, but is confused as to what just happened, looking around to see if everyone else is ok.
