Not long after the group of real vampires had their search for fake vampires in the Reverence, they arrive at Avalon. Dvd's ready, Alice takes Chase and Adona (?) to a security room where they can watch the security tapes.
'Let's look very attentively, we're looking for the woman.' To refresh their memories, Alice shows the pic of the woman's face with her phone.

Chase allows himself to be led to the private area of the security room and stands attentively beside the Deputy awaiting the images that they would no doubt be scrutinizing thoroughly. The digital image of the woman's face pressed against a pool of her own blood was a grim reminder of their appointed task.
"Each mortal slain thins our Masquerade. Our duty to Domain we maintain," recites the Lord, trying his hand at improvisational poetry. Perhaps their visit to the Goth Club had inspired a taste for verse, or he was trying to be ironic. He awaits the footage, mentally preparing to inspect and analyze.

Alice takes place on a seat behind the bureau, then makes the 'take a seat' gesture and indicates the other seat. On their way here, Alice had taken her laptop, which now stood in front of her next to another computer. She's just about to put the Dvd's on, when Chase rhymes a single sentence.
She raises an eyebrow and with a pleasant expression she says, 'Indeed, Mr. Ankers. Indeed.' The Deputy is not so poetic herself, so she doesn't attempt to reply just as stylish.
'Let's start with two tapes from the hours before we found the woman. Later we can do the Dvd's from a day earlier.'

Chase follows his cue and takes the seat offered. He admires Alice's laptop, discerning its make and model while pondering curiously about the software she has available. As a security official for the Domain would she have access to video imaging applications? He knew it would take some time to pour over the raw footage, but perhaps they would get lucky.
"I understand. Hopefully this will shed some light on this lifer lifestyle and the individuals responsible for the woman's untimely death. As we learn more I feel further convinced this to be some mortal debauchery, though all the same we should be attentive to the distortions of a kindred presence. If we cannot learn the identity of the assailant then perhaps we can question other kindred who were there that night."
As the first of the DVD's comes to life the two kindred watching see overview of Reverence. The club seems to be hoping and jumping the night they watch. By pressing the camera angle button they are able to change to one of hte other camera's that was recording at the time. It seems Mister Clarke spare's no expense.
I need an extended roll of Wits+Investigation+2(equipment). Each roll is 10 minutes long. You can decide how many rolls you want to make. There are two DVD's so you would need a different set of rolls for each DVD. Your combined Successes will be taken into account for how much information is revealed, since I am assuming that you are working together.

7 suxx over 30min
Chase wasn't particularly good at crime investigations, but he did have a fine eye for technology and the high quality imaging made viewing the scene much easier. It was almost reminiscent of his times pouring over old films, though the direction of this particular flick had much to be desired. The narrative told of a crowd of sullen angsty youths of which one among them was fated to die. When would the characters appear, the villains, and source of conflict?

This would go wrong, Alice should have known. At first, the moment she focuses on the screen and leans a little forward, she becomes suddenly distracted by her blackened hair... Why am I in this Gothic outfit again? But she shakes the thought off, this is too important, both Kindred and Kine had already suffered due to the so called Lifers. So she keeps watching.
And watching.
And ... she starts watching the wall behind the computer, while actually thinking about the hot piece of man sitting next to her. She pauses the DVD and says with a wink, 'I've seen better movies.'

Chase blinks a moment and smiles politely to the delectable Daeva. "As have I," he returns in smooth articulation. "Though the ambiguity somewhat makes up from the below the line production value." He turns to look at her curiously. "Or maybe the actors were simply cast against their type..."
He ponders the strange look in her eye as their gazes meet. The press of her Beast was always intimidating to him, despite their growing familiarity. To be alone in the back room of an erotic establishment with this beguiling beauty...well the idea was not lost on him. "Madam Brown?" he asked quizzically.

Alice's smile becomes a little broader when Chase perfectly answers her comment. It's so good to know the world is not full of those serious "if you smile twice a day you're Requiem is likely to end soon" kind of types.
'Yes, Mr. Ankers?' She replies both curious and even a little excited. Especially after the DVD, and also because Chase is unlike to ask her if they could please watch the second DVD* with the hope it will be more entertaining than the first.
* We should make the different set of rolls before making any conclusions.

There was a certain anticipation that washed over him, wondering how he should respond. He was sorely tempted to release the tension that seemed to be building in the atmosphere of the room. Yet it seemed wholly inappropriate...yet the curiosity compelled him.
"I simply hadn't noticed before what lovely eyes you possess," he complimented in his suave demeanor. "All the better to see with." Chase hesitated in his resolve to press further, however, feeling the moment would pass shortly, that the Daeva may simply be toying with him in her subtle hints. "Though perhaps we should finish our homework before we head outside to play," implying that whatever Madam Brown had in mind could surely wait until they had reviewed the footage before them.
