Her gaze darts over to the Ogre, her muscles tensing reflexivly. "Name's Haya," she says quietly, adding a belated "sir."But she does hand over the corn with a slight smile.

"Haha, Spartan! It's good to see you." She glances at his plates and shakes her head in amusement, piling up one plate for herself. "Have you looked at the items up for auction yet, or did you just come here for the food?"

The jazz tune currently being played on the hedgespun record player comes to an end. After a brief moment of silence, the music starts up again. However, the jazzy tune is replaced by a more classical sound.
With the change of music, a woman of fair complexion and delicate, yet beautiful features walks into the room. She is wearing an exquisite black dress, and an elegant black mask, which is adorned with a crimson rose on one side. Her movements are graceful, and she exudes a strong sense of confidence with each step she takes. A man dressed in a grey suit and wearing a simple black mask walks beside her.
The pair walks across the dance floor, taking note of those in attendance, until they reach a table in one of the room's corners. The man pulls a chair out for the woman, and once she is seated he pulls out a chair for himself and takes a seat; facing the rest of the crowd.

Marcus struts into the room with a slight swagger to his step. Wearing a suit in the colors of the Season, the swirling tattoos of his Masked appearance are completely covered, resulting in an appearance that some might call respectable... perhaps even a bit dashing. The long-nosed Venetian mask covering his face appears smooth at first glance, but observers will notice intricate scrollwork of leaves and thorns engraved into the metallic surface. Striding up to the bar after pursuing the Winter Market's offerings, he orders a Stella Artois and nods to the other men at the bar.
Anya tended not to adhere to the "rule" of being fashionably late, but on this occasion she did feel somewhat delayed in arriving to the formal Winter event. It couldn't be helped; the Draconic could not summon her full power of traffic control.
She did happen to prefer the adage: "Better late than never", and Anya strolled casually into the elaborate ballroom, studying the mass of masked Changelings around her.
As Anya moved over to the table covered in lists, her eyes shifted automatically to the shiny objects listed. Behind the mask, her eyes glittered with delight. She had not had the chance to horde things in so long, and the Dragon within insisted she make up for lost time.

The changeling with silver mask and red dress was familiar, but Otto couldn't put a face or a name to her. The mantle was Summer obviously. He wanted to say she was at the charity gala but he couldn't put his finger on her. Then again, he was terrible with names even when he had a face to work with.
Walking up next to her, Otto cocks his head so he could look at the table and the Summer courtier. "Something catch you're eye?" The otter's wolf mask makes the cock of his head look a hound giving a confused look.

"A lot of things catch my eye," the Draconic responded, and scrutinised the entire list with care before turning to study the masked Otto. She still knew so few people that the masks made it only more entertaining to figure out who was who.
"What strikes your fancy this evening?" she questioned, heading cocking curiously to one side.
Danny grinned at the girl, a little nervously. It seemed like he was becoming a magnet for attractive women lately, and that always put him slightly on edge. It made him think of the Caverns, and the inhumanly beautiful face of the Queen, and the bracelet he'd forged to lock her to the throne.
Had she broken it yet? Was she looking for him?
"Hey... and thank you very much. I made it myself. I like yours, though. Very bright," the Smith said proudly, holding out one multi-jointed hand to shake. That seemed the most friendly gesture he could think of.
In practice, it was sort of awkward.
"There's so many interesting things on offer, aren't there?"
