On this evening the Hollow Commons have been decorated for the occasion, which happens to be no other than the Winter Formal. The whole place is set up as a classical ballroom, with a main area in the center to serve as the dance floor. Tables are scattered around the dance floor and the bar is open as usual. Sam, the ensorcelled bartender, is standing behind it wearing a cheap rented tux and a simple mask, which does a pretty bad job at hiding his unamused look.
A variety of ballroom-appropriate tunes are playing on what appears to be an old record player, which upon closer inspection proves to be some sort of hedgespun contraption. The music ranges from Classical to Big Band, with some more exotic sounds such as those of Mambo thrown in the mix.
There are already some folks in attendance, some which are probably the hotel's staff, but its hard to tell since all of them are wearing masks and are dressed for the occasion. Of course the exception to this is the one rather large man who looks to be pretty uncomfortable in his suit, which is safe to assume is Big Swilla. A total of four men and four women are present at the moment, not counting the bartender, who just happens to be cleaning some glasses while he watches the others interact.
On a table to the side there are some papers laid out, with some fountain pens next to them. There's a sign hanging on the wall right above the table that reads Winter Market - Silent Auction. One of the younger women in attendance wearing an elaborate ball gown approaches the table and studies the papers closely, reading what is up for bids.
