Giving Asa a full curtsy and bow of her head she smiled and replied. “Good evening Your Grace, Alder Prince Clarke. I will be certain to give Mr. James Carter the message. Perhaps somewhere in time.” With a pleased voice as she played along with the evening’s theme. Her eyes caught the trio of white roses on his jacket as she peered over his ensemble. “Your costume is quite splendid, I especially enjoy the hat.” Ariana complimented genuinely.

The Lordess watched as more of the Domain entered from her peripheral vision smiling at Martha as she arrived and unsure who Darth Vader was at the present time. The Jareth costume was amusing, and she was thankful it was the version with pants, and not tights.

Her beast continued to rattle within as more and more guests arrived, but the Lordess kept focus on the conversation with the Prince. Knowing Conner would not be caught…well dead, singing she shook her head to Asa’s question. “No, I am afraid we are not Your Grace. My talents are better suited for the review of performers this evening.”

Hoping that Asa was open to a little amusement as he had addressed her as the costume. “When it comes to singing,” Pausing for a moment to change her candor slightly. She made a small quote from the movie she portrayed, she gave inflection with a not-so southern accent. “I can’t walk no line.” She grinned with a wave of her hand off to the side. For any that knew her well, they could only guessed that Ariana my have died a little on the inside as she spoke with horrible grammar.

“Will you be performing this evening, Your Grace?” She asked with a curious smile, and back to her normal voice.

Francesco Giovanni came in, slowly making his way inside. Obviously one would have thought of him dressed as the Godfather. Truth be told he had thought about it too.
    So that was his attire.
    attire

the red rose on his chest was plastic, though.
He slowly made his way to the less trafficked corner, hoping not to have to subject himself to any and all attention from one of the higher ups.
It's not an invictus court if somebody doesn't end up staked by the end of it, for erring a word, isn't it?
from his corner, he watched for someone else to enter. Courts were fun, if you weren't the one getting staked.

Dillon had so dearly hoped that Martha would go with Pris, even if it had been a more modest version of one of her costumes. Yet, he couldn't force himself into the logical Harrison Ford role to match her. She might have suggested Han Solo, and given the Bishop's attire, that would have been pretty funny, but Dillon settled on a different Male lead from Blade Runner.

    Roy Batty.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... all those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

Melodramatic, much? A bit. Let's just say he's in character. The Gangrel's hair isn't cropped any shorter than usual, but is slightly mussed, and bleached just as pristine of a white as it could be. That was the easy part. Getting the ridiculous coat, now that had been a pain. But worth it.

The muscles in his jaws flex as the only indicator to forcing the hellhound to heel. The wry smirk on his face a little more devious-looking than usual. Even at the new ones he could feel, the only creature that put Cerberus' tail between its legs as it lowered its heads in deference was Alice's. But, it was familiar enough that Dillon doesn't pause in his step.

Annoying, how parking the car could make you lag behind... but he catches up. Stealing in near enough to his VIP to add perfectly nonchalant bows of his head to the Regents of Florin, and an appropriately deeper one to His Majesty, when or if he looked their way. Just like he was only a step or two behind.

The subtle 'all clear' gesture to Martha is followed by an offer of escort. The Prince was of course free to dismiss the bodyguard at anytime, but he wouldn't allow it to appear that he wasn't doing his job. Dillon is just lucky that Martha hadn't yet approached Asa any closer, else it could be a little awkward that he was just suddenly standing there, hovering outside of conversational distance.

Or perhaps it could have been blamed again on the character. All intense and intelligent... childlike and dangerous...
Be polite. Be courteous. Show professionalism. And have a plan to kill everyone in the room.

James Calloway strolled into the Eternal Court, a slight smile on his face as he entered. His heart was deep in darkness; yet within it, somewhere deep, there was a song. Or perhaps it was simply the Phantom of the Opera there, inside his mind -- for tonight, the Taifa was no vampire. Tonight, he was the Phantom, and he looked every bit the part from the movie musical, long black cape, a beautifully done white mask, hair slicked over, even the excellent leather boots.

He made his way onto the floor, looking around for familiar faces. Somewhere in the crowd, he thought he saw a much done up Dillon, but he couldn't be sure; the costumes were excellent this evening! Aside from the incredibly pressing urge to not get himself killed nagging at the back of his mind, he felt like tonight could be a grand time indeed.

    Tracy Burns & Max Heinz

*A few moments later, another pair of Kindred descends the stairs arm-in-arm. It was a mini Brat Pack reunion, with Max playing the unlikely part of Bender to Tracy's Claire...

    Max's Outfit

Tracy can't hide her smile as she walks in with the former Sheriff, a glint of amusement in her eyes. She knows that Max is a little out of his element, dressing up as a bad boy from an 80s movie...but he had asked for her help with something more "modern," and the 80s was as modern as it got for the Gangrel.

    Tracy's Outfit

The thin Mekhet was still digesting the movie; part of him deconstructing the various social themes of the film, the rest of him simply thankful he didn't have to grow up a teen in the 80's. Of course, that wasn't the point of tonight; this evening was about seeing and being scene. And the setting the Harpy and Herald had put together was truly beautiful.

As Max scans the area, he can't help but smile at Donovan and Greyson; he always had a soft spot for Johnny and June's music. And it takes a moment for Max to remind himself the Prince was simply in costume, and had not, in fact, walked out of early years of Max's mortal life.

Tracy looks around the room at the elaborate decor, impressed by the amount of detail. She also glances around to look at the costumes of the other Kindred in attendance. Some she is able to recognize, while others are just too old for the young Gangrel. However, she has no trouble recognizing her Priscus in the crowd, and offers him a friendly smile.

The amount of Princesses running around tonight was a little disconcerting; Max tries to not read too much into the symbolism of it all. He didn't know whether to envy or pity the Prince Charmings that might show up tonight...

Instead, he heads towards the roses, pausing for just a moment before selecting two red flowers. One he pins to his jean jacket, the other he holds up to place on Tracy.* Hold still, I'd hate to be accused of shedding blood at the Prince's Court... *He says in a soft whisper and with a smile on his face.*

Tracy lets out a soft chuckle at his comment. "That would be most unfortunate," she whispers back to him as she returns Max's smile with one of her own, holding still so he can pin the red flower on her jacket.

Without much money for elaborated customs, the best the Brazilian could do was to use his criativity. As the day of Court was coming closer, he became more unresolved about how to present himself.

If I decide to use something too sophisticated people could begin to make complicated questions, which I'll not be able to answer... Damn! I'm no cinephile...

The Brazilian then had a insight when he was passing by a shop window. A football jacket from the Detroit Lions team caught his attention. The image of Axel Foley came imediatelly on his mind.

    Yes! It'll work!

He'd little trouble to complete the whole custom: a washed jeans, white sneakers (that he already got), a plastic 9mm pistol, a black watch and that aviator like sunglasses. The most difficult piece to find was the Munford Physical Education t-shirt. He was about to give it up, picking any gray t-shirt in its place, but he could finally find it on a costume shop, and on the same place he also bought that little addesive mustache (as his own was a little more sparse than Eddie's one). All that stuff had cost him a little more than he would like, but it was necessary and, after all, that were clothes that he could wear normally.

José is anxious and nervous... albeit being already officially acknowledged by the Herald, tonight he'll meet, or at least, be noticed by the Prince himself.

    Damn, let's face it...

The Brazilian enters the luxurious ballroom. He notices the presence of Martha, Francesco and Jim, nodding repectfully at those persons if they also notice his presence. As the Exu notices other beasts José makes his best to keep the capricious Orixá under control, trying to avoid to stare at the unknow vampires.

Meanwhile the Brazilian don't approaches anybody, trying to get used to the different beasts. He's admiring the ballroom decoration, wandering around.

"Help me Goddess... I need your blessings tonight..."

The Gangrel prays, whispering to himself alone.

For tonight's Court Michael picked the classic villain look for to reasons: it cost little to adjust his clothes this way and he thought he would be original picking not a specific movie character, but rather a concept.

As he arrived he immediately noticed the pressure of all the Beasts' presences and the official atmosphere.

Tonight isn't about serious business. It isn't about making a strong impression. Tonight is about socializing, being nice and, most of all, NOT teaching anyone anything unless they specifically ask for it. I will go around offer some handshakes, compliment the dresses, introduce myself and talk about meaningless things. Private mistakes may be forgiven, but if I make a fool of myself in public, they will send me to the Barrens. In the best case scenario.

So he walks around the room, all smiles and politeness, taking in the quality of decorations and the complexity of costumes.

Emma walked into court full of confidence, dignity, and grace as Eliza Doolittle. Her favorite line from the movie explained how she frequently felt, "Now that you made a lady of me, I'm not fit to sell anything else."

Emma quietly walks over to the roses and decides to not take either. Instead she conducts a quick security check, she seems to always feel compelled to do, before watching others enter the room.

The blonde-dreaded Chase moves to the round table out in front sporting the flower filled bowls. He selects a white one that blends in well against the silvery motif. Glancing around the room finally he spots familiar faces clad in the personas of Hollywood. His Priscus cast from Walk the Line, the Deputy from a film of her namesake, and the new Grand Wyrm as the angsty teen, so odd to see them this way, and difficult to separate them from their alternate personalities. He would have to speak with each of them in turn this night but first he must familiarize himself with the unfamiliar.

So young was he in his Embrace that his Beast often raged against his logical mind, screaming for him to escape, to sink into the floor like the ghost-program he embodied. Yet this was the case as he approached one of the new kindred, a man who had come in just before him, a handsome man, blonde as well like himself. He glided into the Daymian's ( Noel ) vision and let himself be seen so as not to startle. Now he felt in himself the urge to throttle the upstart, the challenger, both in fear and rage. Young must he be, also like me. He mused before introducing himself in a trained delicate voice, "Greetings, sir. Though I've seen your tauntings of young girls and dwarves, I've not seen your face at Court before. Permit me to introduce myself, Chase Ankers, Supplicant of the Hunger, at your service." He gave a pause, allowing the man's Beast to calm just as his own did, before handing him a white business card. His name and occupation printed upon it in cold blue steel lettering CHASE ANKERS: COMPUTER SYSTEMS ANALYST

In what feels like complete harmony, Alice is still singing the played songs, as she's experienced in using her voice in such a way. When more and more Kindred arrive she lowers her voice. Time to do some greetings. The White Queen graciously whirls through the ballroom. Curtsying is hardly necessary, her legs don't really walk and her arms are held still. His Majesty. Nod. Nod. The Regents of Florin. Since they were having a conversation, Alice doesn't interrupt them further.

No, she goes to someone who isn't busy. Hell, she should be careful not to make herself annoying. After a curtsy to the Herald she speaks to the Priscus of Savages. 'Good evening, Deputy Dillon Connery !' An utter friendly smile. 'I knew it, whitening your hair is totally in fashion these days!' Her eyes shoot a glance at her own white lock of hair, then she curtsies. 'I hope the evening finds you well so far?'
"If you're not having fun, what's the point of living forever?''
