(Down in a Hole) Roxie Redux

True to his word to Regent Hart, Adam wasted no time in preparing for the next foray into the recently disturbed building. He waited several blocks from the actual location in his car, this time debating approaching on foot to throw off anyone who might be watching. Considering what had occured recently at the scene of the crime, too many new cars turning up may arouse unwanted suspicion.

One thing he had learnt during his extended time on Earth was that there was always a nosy neighbour.

The Daeva had his laptop with him, with which to play the surveillance footage Roxie had provided him with the previous night, in order to quickly update anyone arriving who was new to the investigation.

The walk to the location, a crime scene of some kind, wasn't too long for the Gangrel as he strolled down the sidewalk. He had elected to leave his Honda Shadow parked three blocks away, preferring to avoid the loud noises of a motorcycle going down the street in the middle of the night and the attention it might draw. No, tonight Jim Calloway was a stealthy monster, blending in to the best of his abilities. He wore black pants and a black dress shirt, his thin kevlar vest on beneath it, adding just a little bit of bulk to the man. His heavy leather motorcycle jacket was on over top. Who knew what dangers this night might hold? Having the little bit of extra protection might keep him alive a little longer if things went south suddenly.

He waited near the appointed location, scanning for the roar of a familiar or unfamiliar Beast. However, it seemed from his vantage point that he was the first to arrive.

Dr. Swift approaches the location he was given, the blood of the student flowing through him. Thank goodness classes are back in session, things were getting a bit dicey there. Things seem to be going well for Swift: feeding was getting easier again, he was making connections amongst the Clan that were panning out nicely, and now the Domain had something for him to help out with.

As Dr. Swift arrives his beast raises its head, scenting the air. There are others nearby. Dr. Swift is not surprised by this, after all he is here to meet with other Kindred, many or all of which he has not met before. He stops in plain view, leaning against a nearby wall. He readjusts his satchel on his left shoulder and transfers his cane to his left hand. He adjusts his fedora slightly lower on his brow and pulls a cell phone out of his duster's pocket. The entire act is meant to appear natural while remaining in full view of any Kindred he is supposed to be meeting.

1 suxx on the feeding roll

José had just finished to deal with a 'mistake'. One gansta guy had mistaken him with somebody from a rival gang. By the way, this time was funny to be in the role of the prey... at least until the guy noticed that José had let himself be cornered in the alleyway.

That had took him some time as he was already heading to the place that Susan told him on the phone call.

She didn't told me much and seemed pretty worried... I hope I'm not too late...

As he arrives at the meeting point the Exu notices the familiar beasts of Dr. Swift and Mr. York, baring his teeth a little just to say 'hello', but then calms down.
He manages to get closer of them but an unfamiliar beast is noticed around.
The reaction is strong and impulsive as he don't sees Susan around and also realizes that the other two didn't noticed that beast already.
José heads at large steps towards the stranger without hesitation.

Fuck! Maybe it's too late...

The Brazilian fights agains the imminent frenzy, but it's not sufficient to avoid being a little rude.
He demands to the stranger ( Lokio )

Just as Susan is heading towards the building once again she manages to spot Adam's car. Realizing he has the right idea in parking a little ways away from that damn building she quickly finds a parking spot near his. Feeling more refreshed this time around Susan gets out of the car licking her lips as she thinks back on that idiot she had just fed on. Serves the punk right for spray painting near my car. She thinks to herself as she makes her way over to Adam's car.

As she reaches his car she taps on the glass. "Ready?" she asks once she has his attention.

Jim had just finished up with a gorgeous blonde he had met at the jazz club. As was his way, he was pleased to take her to bed... and take a little something back while he was at it. The Kiss as he sank his fangs into her femoral artery in the dark simply added to the waves of pleasure the blonde experienced... and, licking the little wounds closed, he carried on with his activities. Then, leaving her breathless and woozy, Jim made his way out, promising to call. He probably never would.

Adam scrutinised each of the Kindred as they arrived at the meet point, a few blocks from the scene of the actual crime, with an added nod toward Susan as he stepped from his car. He had no idea how the others would fare on the excursion but the little fact that they had actually turned up suggested some interest in helping the Regent.

He Beast growled, rattled with a thirsty purpose. It would have been so easy to give into the monster and allow it full reign, to allow the Beast to curb insolence before it even began. But the Daeva reigned it in, and instead he offered them a smile in greeting.

"Mr. Matias, we meet again," Adam remarked, his soft voice contrasting starkly with the manner in which the Brazilian spoke. "Miss Vera." His dark eyes settled on the unfamiliar faces for a few seconds longer than the other two Kindred, through no negative intention on his part.

He extended a hand to each, with a quick introduction. "Adam York," he spoke directly to Dr. Swift and Mr. Calloway.

Swift takes the offered hand. "Dr. Robert Swift." He then nods to the others present. "Susan," he greets the clan mate that he knows. So many aggressive beasts....that can't just be a coincidence. No way we're all on par with each other. So, does that mean I have more clan mates present here? Or has someone been loose and fast with their blood?

Jim smiled as he met the others, his Beast rattling in its cage as numerous seemingly equal Beasts roared at him. He extended his hand to each in turn. "Hello, everyone. My name is James Calloway. Looking forward to working with you all." He smiled at them, speaking quietly. Was it possible that their Beasts would all be so equal, or could it be that there were numerous Gangrel Protean users here?

Gangrels within Gangrels... Gangrelception? he thought idly as introductions went around.
