Gypsy's Night Out (Open)

Sally made her way into this little coffee shop in unclaimed Territory. She loved this little place and its atmosphere. Such nice people, no one really bothered her. She just sat, sipped at her triple espresso, and read her book. It really was a nice change of pace from the atmosphere at Gypsy's. So much hustle and bussel and there was always something she needed to do or someone who needed her to do something.

Alejandra stepped into the doorway of the coffee shop and for several seconds just scanned the interior. She looked a little wary, perhaps wondering if a hot beverage of some kind was worth coming out into unfamiliar territory. Some small side of her groused that she was being too careful about everything, and was second-guessing herself far too much. That side was quickly quashed; but here she was anyway.

It had been a long time since Alejandra had gone along to a place inhabited by other people, to just relax. In general, she preferred to remain active so sitting around doing something luxurious seemed boring, or wrong somehow.

More recently however, Alejandra was learning that socialising again was not a terrible, terrible thing.

Alejandra let the door swing shut behind her and stepped a little further into the coffee shop. The scents were appetising. She paused at Sally's table, when she spotted the other wolf.

"I hope I'm not interrupting," she stated.

"No not at all love, please sit." Sally says and smiles to her newest packmate as she holds out a hand for the woman to take a seat across from Sally. "How are you Alejandra? We haven't had a chance to talk just one on one yet." Sally smiles.

With a small smile of acknowledgement, Alejandra pulled out the seat and made herself comfortable. "There do always seem to be many people around," she nodded in agreement. On the otherhand, it wasn't necessarily a bad thing in the beginning. She preferred to get to know many people at one time, when so many faces were unfamiliar - it lessened the possibility of pesky, boring small talk should conversation run dry.

Now, however, she had been around for a few weeks and had begun to acclimatise.

"I'm doing well. Everyone had been so welcoming; I know I'm fortunate to have found a place to settle again."

"Good, ver good, I am very pleased you have come to join us. For one reason it helps to even the odds a bit." Sally laughs. "Being the only woman in our family was hard sometimes. I had to be mother, sister, friend, confidant. All those things without the benifit of having sex." Sally laughs again.

Alejandra's neutral expression cracked into a tiny smile, and she nodded in apparent understanding. "I cannot promise I can be a good sister or mother, but I can kick someone's ass if they don't toe the line. Does that help?" she questioned. The Irraka was possibly trying to make a joke, but her voice didn't quite hold the necessary note of humour to make it very obvious.

She had forgtten what it was like to relax and joke with someone.

"It does indeed, in our line of work you can never have too much of that." Sally says with a laugh and a smile. "So tell me about yourself. Not your history, but you, what interests you?"

It was a hard question for Alejandra, and she stumbled over her words as she spoke. Interests. Just the word was so human. She had not had the luxury of such things for so very long.

"I er... like... shooting. My bow. It's er... comforting to... shoot... things..." Alejandra said, and then inwardly cursed at how stupid that sounded. She envied people who could talk so freely and easily as Sally did. The memory of conversations flowing like that was vague and distant. It had been too long. "I used to go camping a lot. Does that count? I suppose I must sound very boring to you."

"Camping is very fun. I used to camp, of sorts, alot when I was a child." Sally says with a smile to the other woman. "Alejandra, do you feel you are a good fit for our family? I am happy you are with us don't get me wrong. I am just curious on your feelings about it?"

For the briefest moment, Alejandra felt a sickening lurch in the pit of her stomach. It felt as though there was a 'but' hidden in Sally's statement, and for a couple of seconds the young woman searched Sally's face for any indication that something negative was about to happen. She couldn't hold back a slight frown of her own.

"I think I've fit in well," Alejandra responded softly. "Firebringer is an impressive Alpha, Stefan is easy to get along with, I haven't angered anyone that I'm aware of."
