The air seems to be thicker. Although it's not impossible to hear the other Uratha speaking, they sound as if they're calling from a great distance, even though they're close to each other. The cloud is descending into fog, and it deadens the sound of the outside world.

Everyone except Sally picks up on the figures that seem to be moving about in the mist. There seem to be at least six of them- fanning out and moving through the fog, as if they're searching for the Uratha. They move with quiet, cautious steps, hands splayed in front of them. Apparently, they're human.
Matthew is the only one who realises that they're not just quiet. The figures make literally no noise as they step forwards. There isn't even a rustle of clothing, or the sounds of feet hitting the dirt.
As Dale notices the shadowy figures he can't help but let out an angry snarl. However, he is confused by the fact that they appear to be human. He turns to his Beta ( Starflower ) and barks out, "incoming."
With that he readies himself for what he thinks will be an imminent conflict. The Rahu invokes one of the Gifts of the Full Moon as some of his Essence flows through his body, making his reflex sharper than before.
