Hephaestus, not unlike a considerable number of bystanders, was standing by what had minutes ago been a busy intersection. This would not have been particularly unusual most days; people walked around here often and Hephaestus needed to shop, Matter skills or not. Today though, people halted and looked at the broken remains of two vehicles. Many people stayed to look a the scene, as was not surprising. People tended to be darkly fascinated by situations like this. Unlike the others, Hephaestus was not staring out of horror or awe from the rather nasty looking car crash. His eyes were locked on beyond the physical, peering at the truth behind the Fallen. There was something very wrong with this scene. The usual emergency services had been called to deal with the aftermath, both the injured and the usual cleanup of metal and gasoline. They had arrived swiftly, but treated to an odd spectacle. The cars had suffered more extensive rear damage than their broken fronts would seem to indicate. While both machines were crushed rather extensively in the front (nothing odd there), the drivers and passengers (particularly the latter in the back) should not have been exposed to that much direct damage. And yet, everyone had rather extensive burns and deep gashes. The thing was, there hadn't been nearly enough fire from the impact to cause that degree of damage, nor shrapnel or the like to cause the cuts. Beyond even that, the Resonance of this area was extremely heavy and very...off. It wasn't easily identifiable what sort of Resonance it was either. It seemed to obscure itself somehow, even as it veritably screamed its presence to those with the means to hear such thing. Worse, there was a sort of suction to the place. Hephaestus could feel a pulling sensation toward the center of whatever this was. It wasn't strong by any means, more like an annoyance. It was persistent however, and it somehow seemed to hook into his animus, like it was trying to "pull" it into manifesting while dragging the Moros bodily toward the center of the impact. No-one else seemed to be effected that way, so he was forced to conclude it didn't effect Sleepers at the very least. He didn't move, merely staring intently at with Supernal Sight, trying fruitlessly to piece together what on earth had made this happen.
