Daniella finds herself out walking with no particualr place in mind. Dressed in jeans and a white t shirt, she tries to blend in. She finds herself in a park overlooking the river, the lights of the city playing on the water. Finding a bench, she sits and finds the breeze and lights bring back good memories. Yet she finds her thoughts drifting back to England, to her Sire, Seth, and to her life there. While Seths final death freed her from him, it still turned her world up side down. That night, she had felt pain like she had never felt before, like something was ripped from her, she later learned Seth has been killed. His death broke those bonds that tied her to him. But he wasnt always a jerk, she thinks. The night he embraced her, he saved her life, so to speak. Her hand touches her stomach, her hand knowing the exact location and size of the scar without her thinking of it. As her life poured out of her on that cold November night, washed away by the rain, he gave her a new life. What the Earl tried to take from her, Seths Gift tried to give back. But was he really saving her? From sex slave to his slave. His only use for her was to get what he wanted, and that was information, items, which fed his desire for power and greed. Which eventually lead to his downfall.

She sighs, hoping it will be different here. Not having someone to fall back on was scary, she was now on her own. The thought scared her, but also filled her with excitment. Would she be able to make it on her own? She was already hunting for a place of her own, which filled her with dread. She had never been alone. She had always had her Sire to in some way, look out for her. He provided her with food, shelter and clothes, now, she had no one. She wraps her arms around herself, deep in thought. She knew she was strong, after surviving nine long years as a 'toy' to the Earl, she knew she had the inner strength to make it on her own. It will just take some time, she thinks. Learning to mingle and make friends was a challenge all unto its self, and Daniella was putting her best effort into it. But she found herself jealous at the social grace of those around her. She wished Seth had taken more time with her, shown more of an interest in her as a person, and as his Childe, a fellow Mekhet. But, she loved to study and watch people, and feels she will be able to pick up on things soon.
Looking around the dark park, Daniella smiles. Yes, she thinks, it will be different, in time.
