Spartan turns his head, "I had hoped, but it seems not." Spartan says as he continues into the hedge.
As they pass between the two oddly-shaped trees beneath the Guy West bridge, each of the changelings will notice that the weed-choked shadows deepen and Thorny creeper vines wrap themselves around the base of the bridge. Their surroundings appear much more wild and unkempt than they did just a moment before. As Spartan steps onto the narrow path that he remembers twisting through the Briars from the last time he was here, the air becomes heavy and oppressive. From the corner of his eye, he notices blood dripping from the leaves of a nearby tree, but upon closer examination realizes it is simply water. It was only a trick of the light. Here and there, the warm summer sunlight penetrates the leafy canopy above their heads. It allows them to see that the path winds away from the trees in two opposite directions. Without the candle to light his way, Spartan can't be sure which will lead him to the house of the Bogeyman... but at least it smells better.
Please roll Intelligence + Composure for Spartan to remember which way he went last time.

"Come, It is this way." Spartan says remembering the path that lay before him. After everything they went through in that pit, he should remember which way it is. "Stay close, we were attacked as we came close to the house. If there is a Scarecrow, stay away from it." Spartan instructs as he draws the moldy spear blade from its sheath and syncs his glamour into the blade, causing it to grow and take to its true form, a lethal spear made from the hedge itself. Electricity sparks off the spear.
'Understood.' Wyatt nods and draws his own, much less impressive, weapon. He stays behind Spartan.
And aren't Scarecrows meant to stay away from anyway?
As Spartan recalls his previous journey to the Bogeyman's Hollow, three things stand out in his memory. He remembers that the stinky candle led them down the dark and tangled left-hand path. He also recalls the nasty beasts that stalked them through the Briars and could have possibly killed them all if Alice hadn't been with them. And finally, the Bloodbrute remembers that they hadn't come this way when they left the Hollow. There is another way back to the Bogeyman's house.
Spartan continued to lead the way to the house of horrars, keeping a warry eye open for anyone or anything that may be hunting the hunters. As he took the Left hand curve he began to pick up the pace. A trot now, that was the pace the Bloodbrute was keeping.
Tally isn't that surprised about the warning concerning Scarecrows, after all, their 'job' was to scare off pests, mostly the feathered kind. At least none of us are bird themed. The Beast muses as she tries to keep to the middle of the path, doing her best to avoid the plants along the side of the trail. She does recall what Fu said about the plants themselves attacking him during that meeting at the library.
Spartan increase the pace and she keeps up. All that exercise paid off. Tally muses to herself as they continue to follow the current Seasonal Ruler.
Justin heard the warning about avoiding Scarecrows and nodded. Fair enough, common sense, don't mess with something that's probably one of the locals unless it messes with you first.
Noting the others readying their weapons, the Manikin mentally debated the merits of activating a Contract, then decided to hold off on it. The Glamour required could possibly act as a beacon and to be honest it was probably a better thing to wait until he actually had to burn some off. Seeing that Spartan had started to pick up his pace, Justin did so as well. The Hedge was a place of move quickly and no woolgathering -- that much he knew.
Pushing aside his memories of the far safer and easier way back to the Bogeyman's Hollow, Spartan leads his intrepid followers deeper into the dangerous tangle of the Hedge. After a few turns and intersections, he notices that the path seems far more narrow and overgrown than he remembers, almost as if it hasn't seen much traffic since his last visit. Soon forced to slow his pace or become irrevocably lost, the ogre struggles not to lose his way amidst the confusing labyrinth of Thorns.
Spartan must roll Intelligence + Survival(+1 for retracing his steps) to navigate his way through the Hedge.
Everyone needs to roll Perception.
When seeing all this, Wyatt remembers why he doesn't come in the Hegde often. The place still creeps him out. But not as much as it could creep him out, after all, he didn't know the path was changed since Spartan's last visit. He didn't expect there to be gardeners around here.
