When Did Recreation Become So Nerve-Wracking?

"Oh, you're not a...yes Sir, of course Sir." She'd been going more for the panicked, hiding, damsel act. But so long as the cop didn't try to detain them she didn't care all that much what he thought.

So she takes Mike's hand and proceeds to all but drag him along with her as she makes her way hurriedly out of the alley. With her honing still active, he'd find out that she's a lot stronger than she looks, too. Anyway, she makes a beeline for the nearest knot of people she can find, seeking to lose herself in the crowd. She also digs her phone out of her purse, placing another call to Joshua.

As you come out you notice that there are at LEAST 50 fire fighters fighting a blaze that is reminiscent of a blast furnace. There are 25 police officers and close to a hundred sleepers jam packed into the area. Cop cars block the street at either end and fire trucks block the building.

Mike isn't really panicked, but he could manage to look worried at least. His eyes shift between the cop and Triqueta. He wasn't a good actor, so he just shakes his head, nods... seems confused.

Then he quickly lets the other mage lead him away. When the Moros sees all the cops and firefighters he realizes they couldn't go on a secret 'save the Hierarch' mission. He leans closer to whisper in Triqueta's ear. 'I don't think others can help us right now... should I go to the Circle, they might need us more now? You can stay to wait on Animus if you want?'

Triq as you talk another text comes over the phone.

"We cannot do anything more here," it doesn't really sound like something she wants to say as she sees the carnage that is the aftermath, knows what it might mean for Animus...but it's clear she knows she has to. "Both of us will go the museum."

[Mike Tamwood]

'Alright, lets go.' Mike nods, and doesn't sound very enthusiastic but neither did he want to wait much longer, Joshua described an urgent situation.

As you leave the scene fades, the heat of the fire giving away to an almost cold feeling over the city, clouds darkening the sky as a light drizzle begins to fall. The noise of the scene fades to slightly less noise.

Yet even through the rain you can still see the fire if you turn, the flames brightly burning behind you.
