Al-Adin looks quite confused when Nightfall questions why he had to eat. And then its like someone set off a thousand suns behind his eyes, as he gets it.
"Waitress!" Al-Adin calls out quite loudly, ignoring the looks he gets from everyone. "We'll get that to go!" He pulls out enough money to cover everything and is ansily bouncing his feet.
He looks to Simi, remembering that he's staying here for her. "Thanks! You'll be a great friend. I'm glad I met you."

Simi blinked her surprise and looked at the money Al had. "Simi can pay for her own......oh wait. Next time Simi will take you out and Simi will pay. That sounds good."
Mundane issues began to worm their way into Simi's mind as the three of them sat and waited for their orders to go. She looked at Al. "Do you need a ride? Simi has a car, it's not much but it gets me from point A to point B and where are we going?"

The waitress drops off the check along with a couple of to-go containers. She waits at the table until Al hands over the cash, then returns with his change a few moments later.
"Thank you for coming to Maxine's. Have a nice day."
They've heard more enthusiasm at funerals.

GoodwillNightfall looks at the food dubiously, but takes the bottle of water.
"So, yeah, this is totally weird," he muttered, taking a swallow of water as he swiveled his head, looking at all the 'special' patrons.
Someone needed to firebomb the place.
"Someone needs to firebomb this place."
He didn't seem to notice it had slipped out, shrugging and screwing the top back onto the water.
"So... where are we going? Do you know where Not-Terri went?"

Al-Adin nods emphatically at both of Nightfall's suggestions.
Maybe Mr. Lipson knows someone who knows how to do that right.
"I think she went home. Lets go up." Al-Adin leaves through the front door quickly, draging Simi with him protectively into an adjacent alley, where he looks at her.
"Can you climb?" He gestures to the building next to him. "We can talk better up there."
And I feel a lot better up high. Less danger, and there was too much danger in there. The sky and the breeze will make me feel better.

Simi frowned at Nightfall's comment but said nothing. Maybe they had history with this place that she wasn't aware of. Or they knew the owner and he or she wasn't a very nice person.
Shei followed Al out of the restaurant, although it was more like she was pulled out with him. She clutched her to-go bag to her and glanced at the other customers around her, still wondering why everyone looked like they'd all had their dogs kicked.
She looked up the side of the building, a dubius expression on her face. She shrugged, how hard could it be to climb up a wall? "Simi never climb a wall before but it can't be that hard."

Al-Adin looks down at his phone and sees another text.
"Uh, actually, lets just meet up, uhm, can we meet up at your place?" He looks at Nightfall. "Terri and Kaito finished what they were doing and we should probably talk."

Goodwill"Oh, that's par...," Nightfall began to answer Simi, Al's rooftop escapades drawing a smile with the explanation. Al's change of plans stops him, though, and he suddenly wonders if the water had been a mistake. Sounded like something stronger would have been in order.
"Ummmmm, sure."
It was delivered with all the enthusiasm that possibly leading an army of fetches back to Glissade warranted.
That, and showing up with three chicks wouldn't look weird to Alice at all.

Simi sughed. The rate at which these two were changing their minds was confusing but she decided going with it would be better then against it. So, she shrugged her agreement. "Sounds easier then climbing a wall and maybe on the way there Al can explain all of this to us in a way that makes sense."
And I might actually get to eat sometime soon.
