Al is faster than a speeding bullet as he tears across the rooftops in pursuit of Terri's fetch. The blonde woman doesn't really seem to be going anywhere in particular... she just drives around in a rather meandering fashion. Finally, her car pulls into the parking lot of the former Empty Orchestra... currently styled Maxine's. Getting out of her vehicle, Lois looks at a brightly-colored piece of yellow paper as she walks into the newly-remodeled bar.

Al-Adin slicks his hair back and slips on a pair of shades that he appropriates from a woman's not very closed purse, dropping a small penny in its place.
3 successes to steal, 1 success on a disguise, and 4 successes to hide in the crowd.
He's here. The bad man who made this fun place not fun at all. So really not cool. I have to find out what Lois is doing here, whats on that sheet of paper, and make sure nightfall and terri find out. She was supposed to go home. Is this her home?
He walks in after her, trying to stick with a crowd, while still trying to keep her in sight and in hearing range.

As Al walks into Maxine's, he is not quite distracted enough by the tacky interior to notice that quite a few patrons turn and look in his direction as he enters... including Lois. And while she probably would have seen right through his flimsy disguise, Al manages to interpose a busboy with a load of dishes between himself and Terri's fetch, effectively hiding him from her glance. Lois walks right up to the bar and orders a drink. Sitting down, she puts her fingers to her temples and appears to shake her head in a rather pitiful manner.

Al-Adin ignores the stares of the people. They sang songs about how handsome he was, so it shouldn't be surprising.
He sits down at a table a decent distance away from Lois so she won't see him, and focuses listening real hard to what happens, especially looking out for anyone coming out from the second floor.

|
The only thing of interest that Al notices is that the bright yellow piece of paper must be some sort of coupon. He overhears Lois mention that she received it in the mail as she redeems it for a free drink. In fact, a lot of the people in Maxine's appear to be using similar coupons. The very same people that turned as he walked in the bar. A lot of them are still looking at him with a variety of expressions on their faces... curiosity... fear... surprise... and hatred.

Al-Adin is not smart. He is not intelligent. And he is most certainly not astute.
But clever, clever he can do on occasion. Like when he puts 1 and 1 and 1 and gets
They are all Fetches. I'm surrounded by fetches. Why is the Baron trying to get a bunch of Fetches together?
I wonder if mine is here.
He looks around the room, studying faces, looking for familiar ones, still with a bright, warm, friendly smile on his own. He might even make some new friends.

As Al looks around the room, he recognizes a lot of the same faces from the pictures he had seen back at the Four Seasons. Many of them continue to glance at him with uneasy expressions on their faces, as if they don't quite know what to think about him. However, one middle-aged man who had been giving the Prince of Joy the stink eye gets up from his booth. Leaving his family to their meal, he walks past Al as he makes his way to the men's room. The look on his face leaves the beast with the impression that he would not be one of the monkey man's new friends. At the same moment, a young woman with dark hair and barely-covered tattoos walks up to his table and intones an apathetic greeting as she places a menu before him.
"Welcome to Maxine's. What would you like to drink?"

"Coke please. Its very busy here today. Is something special going on?" Al-Adin chats up the waitress, giving her all of his attention and smiling pleasantly at her, weilding his smile and attention like a hammer to smash her apathy.
He files Mr. Stink Eye down for later. He wasn't a nice guy, and so bathroom breaks were out for the moment.

"Kinda. Our boss sent out a bunch of coupons to folks in the neighborhood for our grand opening. Did you get one?"
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
"No. I don't get most mail. Can you let me see one? If it won't be a pain though."
Its fun to be nice to people, to bring joy to their lives, that someone cares about them.
