Jack motions to Beast and the Fairest as he mentions their respective court titles.

Rook moved over after Leo, after pausing to grab another sandwich. Because good sandwiches are a Goddamned art, and he was going to be finding out exactly what Mrs. Rosemary did to these damn things. As long as it wasn't the blood of kids or something. Not that it was likely, of course. He watched the balls for a moment and the clown.

Great, a clown. If there was one thing Rook was suspicious of, it was clowns. He always suspected that they were planning on pulling women into the backs of vans. Or possibly children.

His tongue twitched and he bit it, pulling a slightly odd face as he prevented himself from commenting that grown men who dress as clowns needed to have serious therapy. More than most Changelings. At Otto's question and Terri's admonishment, however light and humorous, Nightfall's mouth closed and the tips of his ears and cheeks went slightly paler. Long fingers reached up and touched the base of his neck.

"Fuck I need a drink," he muttered.

The moment passed, and the Polychromatic's face lit up in an engaging smile.

"Seriously. I'm way funnier once you're drunk."

The blue ball, apparently with a sudden will of its own, jumps out of the cascading flow of balls and lands on the top of Sweet Tooth’s head where it sit’s precariously balancing.

“Thanks Dr Jack that’s exactly the sort of helpful info Sweet Tooth was looking for,” said the clown with a happy and genuine smile.

“Sweet Tooth has learnt to live with the fact that his mein often bring’s out the worst in people. But, hey, we work with the what our keepers cursed us with and when you spend your durance in a fae Big Top circus with a Keeper called the Ringleader,” said the clown shrugging his shoulders and causing the blue ball on his head to teeter precariously. “Then this is the face ya get stuck looking at in the mirror every morning.”

“Hey welcome to the party,” said the clown to Rook with a nod of acknowledgement which causes the blue ball to topple from his head and seamlessly re-enter the trick as if by accident. With his metallic skin and chess piece features Sweet Tooth knew he wasn’t telling the summer elemental anything he didn’t already know.

“On the positive side it’s made choosing a court easy ... ever heard of coulrophobia, it’s a fear of clowns, it’s a lot more common than you might think,” he said. “Plus Sweet Tooth was a shoe in for the role of Fool of the First Frost.”
