(1106) Summer Festival Contests

For all those people entering the talent contest.

The rules are simple, if your character is entering post what they are doing (Singing, dancing, juggling, mime etc) along with a you tube video if you have one. The make the appropriate roll. If you are confused what roll you need to make for your act then shoot me a PM and I will let you know.

The winner is the person with the most successes, in the event of a tie break both will do a second performance (and a second roll)

The rules of the combat contest are simple. Disable your opponent in some manner (for example a grapple that holds for 3 turns), throw them out of the combat ring or one party surrenders. No weapons are allowed, this is a fist fight. You can use contracts, but nothing that is going to kill the other person.

The Winner will fight the winner of the other Combat Contest thread.

Rook faced off against Tally, but his heart wasn't really in it. Although he was too proud to back away from a challenge, Rust's cheapening of the Iron Spear into petty, hateful children squirmed in his chest. The tall Metalflesh had no real desire to spar for the glory of Summer right now. He hoped to just get it over quickly and quietly, no longer caring who the victor might be.

Rook forced himself to walk on stage and take the challenge. He sat down at the familiar piano, lifted the lid and took a breath. He was never going to win; his Durance had stolen that spark from him, if not the technique. Even his pride accepted that. But to play at all was a defiance of what had been taken. Defiance, but not hatred. Never hatred. Never to allow that anger to rot, to be the stronger person, to forge it like iron is forged. But not to be ruled by it or consumed by it.

His fingers moved lightly across the keys, picking out the notes of Dust in the Wind. He'd had another song in mind at first, but this seemed... more fitting.
