He had not done anything deserving this. This was not how the Sanctified dealt with things; certainly not in the middle of a Haunt meeting. He stepped backwards, his fangs hooking into his lip as the moment flooded into his head. He had to protect himself. But Anton was vastly physically superior, and his Sorcery was...
His Sorcery was all he had. His hand plunged into his pocket and grasped the feather there, and desperately, almost pleading with God to allow him some modicum of protection against this senseless assault, he said the words that before, he would have been certain would invoke the Dark Blessing.

A spectral, predatory bird forms from the undulating shadows and descends upon Anton, causing the Bishop to grimace in pain as it tears into his back with wicked talons. Suddenly the Bishop is clutching a spear, shedding the illusion of absence and hefts it back, slamming it into Sidor's torso. It pierces a withered lung, scraping the back ribs before it's jerked downwards and out.
The Bird hisses and pursues the Bishop as he begins to flee along the motel tier, Spear spattered in blackened tissue.

As combat erupts, he doesn't hesitate. Assuming the Bishop is under some sort of trance and that he wouldn't do this on his own volition, Anasztaz darts behind Anton, trying to catch up with him to immobilize him.
Josephine's initial thought had been to see to the patient, as she witnessed the spear piercing Sidor. Almost immediately she dismissed the thought as irrelvent - naturally medical attention was not required for their kind. Instead her attention switched to the irrational Anton and, as Anasztaz raced after him Josephine jumped the tier to try and cut the errant Bishop off.
It didn't matter if she injured herself in the process; she could always heal. The urgency of the situation was higher on a list of priorities.

Brenn Lawrence stood in shocked awe as the unhallowed kite appeared from the darkness, swooping down to attack the Deputy. The wet slam of the Bishops spear brought the young Haunt back to her senses as it impaled Sidor's undead flesh. The new sight of the Bishop fleeing from this attempt at murder inflamed her spirit with indignant rage, her mind and her beast eager to come to grips with the erstwhile bishop. She summoned all the strength of her Blood, pumping her muscles full of its unholy energies, before she took off after the fleeing Kindred.

Sidor felt the tearing of his torso as the short spear impaled him through the lung and ripped back. With a sickening crack, his ribs jerked back into place, cold flesh knitting back together. He rolled his shoulder in relief as the damage began to fade. His sharp, shadowed gaze followed Anton.
He had never seen the Bishop use a spear. Knives, and a snubnosed, heavy revolver, but not a spear. Such an odd, unwieldy weapon for modern times. Actually, the only person in the Domain he'd ever seen use a spear was... Hm. Perhaps he was being overly paranoid.
He moved down the ramp, pulling out his Makarov with one hand. A dim sense of elation crept through him.
The Blessing came for me.

Josephine lands noisily, next to a beat-up car which looks as though it's always been here. Impact-shock runs up her legs as her feet hit the ground. Fortunately the parking lot is deserted and none of the faded curtains twitch along the row of cheap rooms.
Anton tears down the stairs, blood burning through the Haunt's body, surging out in such a way as to grant inhuman speed to his flight as the spectral bird assaults the back of his head with its deadly talons. He barrels towards Josephine, Spear cocked back. On reaching the Doctor, the weapon is thrust forward in a desperate offence which impales her body, destroying dead organs along its path. The fog of Torpor consumes Josephine's consciousness before her body is kicked unceremoniously from the weapon.

The Bishop was much faster than him, he'd never catch him. The Doctor had done the right thing, he thought, but hadn't paid off at all. If she had succeeded to at least slow him, they'd have cornered him here.
Those thoughts dawned on him as he stood by her torpid body. He couldn't leave here her like this, she was his charge.
The situation was strange, why would the Bishop just skewer an loyal ally and run? It didn't make any sense at all.
