5 + 11 = 16
Clothes recede into flesh, thick black fur sprouting from dark skin as Chantay's form bulks up into Urshul. And her lips peel back slightly from her fangs, ready to meet the spirits coming towards them.
Initiative Roster:
Matthew :: Jordan :: Starseeker :: Starflower :: Pike Magath :: Otter Magath :: Chantay :: Sally :: Churning Silt :: Rushing Currents :: Digger :: Turtle Magath
Matthew is up.
Keep in mind that the spirits are presently 50 yards away...and the wolves can't really move very far on their own unless they want to start holding their breath.
Matthew takes the opposite transformation as Chantay, shifting to Dalu form, as he takes point on Churning Silt. And speaking of points, the halberd appears in his hands, tip jutting forward menacingly. It's clear he intends to be ready when the Magath grow near.
shift to Dalu
Matthew drops behind Jordan in initiative order.
Jordan positions himself next to Sally, keeping himself as low to the spirit as he could. Waiting for their enemy to draw nearer.
Holding Action, Jordan will act if something trys to attack sally or she moves forward. If not he waits for them to come to the wolves.
Chris positions himself with a clear line of sight to whichever spirit is closest, with no one in front of him while he watches them.
Holding action until one of them comes closer
With a fliiiit!, Starflower releases the bow string, watching it spear through the water to pike magath, intent on serving up more sushi for his pack.
2 suxx
The arrow leaps away from the bow, seemingly unhindered by the water as it flies towards its target. And it strikes true, glancing along the side of the pike Magath and tearing a shallow gouge in his side. Not that either of the magath seem to care. They power forward, churning through the water even as the pike magath leaves a trail of foul, ephemeral, blood behind it.
Chantay considers urging Rushing Currents closer, but after glancing aside towards Matthew decides against it for now. They were, probably, outside the immediate reach of whatever else lurked within the cloud. And splitting the packs seemed unwise at this point. Instead her ears just flattened against her skull, lupine gaze examining the Magath that swam towards them.
Sally is up, then Digger
[wtf]Sally is going to hold action until she can get a swipe in. [wtf]
Digger steps up and gives his shotgun a lovely *Chieck Chunk* And opens fire like a mother fucker.

Surprisingly enough the shotgun fires perfectly, the shot leaving ripples in its wake as it rips through the water and punches a few holes into the otter magath. Who, naturally, bleeds the same vile fluid into the water. Maybe it worked so well due to the blessing of the spirit he's traveling with, or because ephemeral water just doesn't have the same effects of the actual stuff does. Is it possible that in a world that's so much of a reflection of the thoughts and perceptions of those in the mortal world the efficiency of the weapon is due in part to what it's wielder expects of it?
Meh...probably something for a Bone Shadow to ponder at a less urgent time.
The turtle magath steadily moves forward along with its companions...but much, much slower.
Initiative Roster:
Matthew* :: Jordan* :: Starseeker* :: Starflower :: Pike Magath (1L, 26 yards) :: Otter Magath (3L, 26 yards) :: Chantay :: Sally* :: Churning Silt* :: Rushing Currents* :: Digger :: Turtle Magath (38 yards)
The asterisks denote everyone who held their action the previous turns (mostly you lazy Seekers ). Since there still won't be anything close enough, and in interest of keeping things moving instead of waiting for confirmation, I'm assuming they'll continue to hold the action and be able to act whenever they like during the next round. So unless there are objections I believe Starflower's free to go.
